The Weight Loss 'Weigh-In' - Why it Can do More Harm Than Good

The other day whilst at the gym I attend, two ladies were discussing the results of their monthly weighing and measuring session. One of them was so demotivated by the results that she was expressing her feelings about giving up. On enquiring about why she felt so bad, I was not surprised to hear that she had actually lost a fair amount of weight and inches. Yet it had not motivated her, quite the reverse in fact.

So what is it about weighing and measuring ourselves that can, for some of us, be so destructive and demotivating? As one of the people for whom weighing sessions are negative experiences, I sat down to analyse it and this is what I discovered...

1. It is often a competitive process that creates, in our own minds, winners and losers, even between those who have lost weight.

This is destructive if you are highly competitive with others.

2. We set ourselves personal goals that may not be achieved, no matter how hard we are trying.

This is destructive because the body does not lose weight in a regular pattern. There are many issues such as our menstrual cycle and water retention that also affect our weight.

3. We may even count down the days to our weighing sessions.

This can be destructive as we concentrate our attention on a future point in time, missing the joy and happiness in the moment.

4. When other people lose more weight or inches than us, we easily hook into our 'Not Good Enough' feelings and beliefs.

This is destructive because as soon as this false belief gets its hold on us, the stress it creates only leads us back into our comfort eating.

5. We can spend our time attached too strongly to our own desired outcome and time schedule for this.

This is therefore destructive to our motivation as nature has its own time and we cannot control this.

I am not saying we should not have goals. The point is if we make them the complete focus of what we want to attain, and put deadlines to this, then at some stage we are highly likely to be demotivated.

So, for many of us the weighing and measuring sessions, even if only done once a month, can be highly demotivational. The key to this problem is making the strongest focus in our weight loss pursuit, not size, shape or weight but motivation through joy, love and happiness. By concentrating on how happy, energetic and alive the exercise makes us feel we increase our motivation. And what is the result of this change of focus? Gradual weight loss and an ability to achieve and sustain the weight loss we desire, in our body's own time.

The answer then, for some of us, is to stop weighing and measuring, if it has a demotivating effect on you. Focus on the buzz of life or get competitive with yourself, ignoring what anyone else is achieving.

Creating super habits are easier than you could ever imagine. Most people have something they would like to change in their lives. If you ask anyone, they are usually able to answer this question, "If you could change anything about yourself, what would you change." All the self help and personal development programs and Books available today are full of useful information that nobody seems to take advantage of. You've seen the TV commercials and listen to other people tell their stories, about how they lost weight.

Four Agreements

Emotional and Spiritual Sustenance - The Forgotten Food

Humans needphysical, emotional and spiritualsustenance to thrive. The majority of people need healing in all three.

While food provides sustenance to the body, it also provides immediate psychological gratification, thus becoming a substitute for spiritual/emotional sustenance. Subsequently, without proper spiritual/emotional sustenance the psyche deteriorates and ultimately the body deteriorates; because the body is dependent on the psyche. Pharmaceuticals and medical practices have created a false belief that a pill or surgery will sustain/restore emotional/physical functions.

The only way to create emotional/spiritual sustenance is through spirituality. Spirituality is the God-related science of developing and freeing the God-made innermost beingthe core of usMade in the image of God." Love creates, all else destroys. Love cannot co-exist with other premises simultaneously; therefore, God is only love. The fly in the ointment of human existence verses in spiritual formas Godis the "ego. The ego is essential to navigate the vicissitudes in physical life. However, the ego is what gets us into trouble. The truth is: All life on earth serves the sole purpose of developing our spirituality to the point of being free of spiritual ignorance, free of selfish or destructive behavioral (ego) patterns, free to return to our eternal home in God. True spirituality leads to freedom in God.

True God-related spirituality is achieved by means of scientifically applying spiritual teachings and spiritual techniques that allow ego to vanish in the fire of divine love and ego-oriented spirita.k.a. intellectto be replaced by the Holy Spirit. Such true spiritual teachings can only be affected by a true connection to our innermost self. Because all humankind is God-made, Spirituality is our true nature and spiritual development is the most direct way to solutions of love and peace in all creation.

Prayer, Meditation, Gratitude, Spending time in natureincluding near fire and water are practices to create spiritual/emotional health.

Prayer: Harvard researcher and mind/body medicine expert Herbert Benson, M.D. found that regular prayer or the repetition of spiritual phrases such as "Shalom," or "Hail Mary," triggers relaxation and reduces stress. Make prayer a time of personal conversation with God, state your need or concern and ask for divine intervention. Acknowledge all you have to be grateful for and give thanks for that which you desire. Giving thanks is more effective than asking for what you desire. God knows what you need before you need it and has already sent it to youtherefore giving thanks acknowledges what you havent seen yet. Establishing a regular prayerful routine is important.

Meditation: Researched for centuries, meditation is proven to have physiological benefits, including stress-relief, improved immune and cardiovascular function, relaxation, and decreased pain. Regular meditation practice leads to new insights about life issues (often resulting in the healing of past emotional trauma), heightened creativity, inspiration, greater compassion for others, and a greater connection to one's own inner guidance. There are a plethora of books and classes on meditation practices.

Gratitude: The state of being grateful; thankfulness. (The American Heritage Dictionary) In the push and pulls of life we seldom realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and that it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich. Looking at the glass as half empty albeit is half full assures us, we will live with a sense of lack.

"Gratitude is our most direct line to God and the angels. If we take the time, no matter how crazy and troubled we feel, we can find something to be thankful for. The more we seek gratitude, the more reason the angels will give us for gratitude and joy to exist in our lives." --Terry Lynn Taylor

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." --Melody Beattie

Time in nature: The most visible manifestation of spirit is nature, where we most fully encounter and interact with life's primal energies in the forms of earth, water, fire, and air. Walking/hiking are easy and practical ways of reconnecting with nature and the earth, as are gardening, biking, camping and boating. Spending regular amounts of time outdoors within a natural setting, you enable yourself to better appreciate the rhythms of life, including your own.

Modern living prevents us from a balanced life. Time in nature restores that balance, while also deepening our connection with Spirit. Being near the water is a spiritually healthy experience, due to water's higher concentration of negative ions. Swimming in natural water or soaking in a mineral hot spring provides therapeutic benefits for a variety of ailments.

Exposure to a campfire or fireplace has health benefits. Leonard Orr discovered that fire cleanses the bio-energy field of negative energies, and is a powerful aid in curing physical disease. Orr recommends spending a few hours each day near fire. Fire is also an important component of the vision quests Native Americans undertake to connect with the Great Spirit and discover their life purpose.

Air is the closest expression of Spirit. Clean air is essential to health on all levels, and practicing conscious breathing is a potent self-care method for restoring energy and making you more aware of the power of Spirit as it flows through you.

Regular exposure to the four elements creates consciousness of Spirit's loving intelligence to sustain the world, while more deeply recognizing our place within it.

10 Tips For Spiritual Growth

Spiritual growth is the process of inner awakening, and becoming conscious our inner being. It means the rising of the consciousness beyond the ordinary existence, and awakening to some Universal truths. It means going beyond the mind and the ego and realizing who you really are.

Spiritual growth is a process of shedding our wrong and unreal conceptions, thoughts, beliefs and ideas, and becoming more and more conscious and aware of our inner being. This process uncovers the inner spirit that is always present, but hidden beyond the ego-personality.

Spiritual growth is of great importance for everyone, not only for people who seek spiritual enlightenment and choose to live in far away or secluded places. Spiritual growth is the basis for a better and more harmonious life for everyone, a life free of tension, fear and anxiety.

By discovering who we really are we take a different approach to life. We learn not to let outer circumstances influence our inner being and state of mind. We manifest composure and detachment, and we develop inner power and strength, all of which are very useful and important tools.

Spiritual growth is not a means for escaping from responsibilities, behaving strangely and becoming an impractical person. It is a method of growing and becoming a stronger, happier and more responsible person.

You can walk on the path of spiritual growth, and at the same time live the same kind of life as everyone else. You do not have to live a secluded life in some far away place. You can raise a family, work or run a business, and yet at the same time engage in practices that lead to inner growth.

A balanced life requires that we take care not only of the necessities of the body, feelings and mind, but also of the spirit, and this is the role of spiritual growth.

10 tips for spiritual growth:

1. Read spiritual and uplifting books. Think about what you read, and find out how you can use the information in your life.

2. Meditate for at least 15 minutes every day. If you do not know how to meditate, it is easy to find books, websites or teachers who can teach you meditation.

3. Learn to make your mind quiet through concentration exercises and meditation.

4. Acknowledge the fact that you are a spirit with a physical body, not a physical body with a spirit. If you can really accept this idea, it will change your attitude towards many things in your life.

5. Look often into yourself and into your mind, and try to find out what is it that makes you feel conscious and alive.

6. Think positive. If you find yourself thinking negatively, immediately switch to thinking positively. Be in control of what enters your mind. Open the door for the positive and close it for the negative.

7. Develop the happiness habit, by always looking at the bright side of life and endeavoring to be happy. Happiness comes from within. Do not let your outer circumstances decide your happiness for you.

8. Exercise often your will power and decision making ability. This strengthens you and gives you control over your mind.

9. Thank the Universe for everything that you get.

10. Develop tolerance, patience, tact and consideration for others.

Spiritual growth is the birthright of everyone. It is the key to a life of happiness and peace of mind, and the manifesting the enormous power of the inner spirit. This spirit is equally present within the most material person, and within the most spiritual person. The level of the manifestation of spirituality is dependent on how much the inner spirit is close to the surface, and on how much it is covered and hidden, by thoughts, beliefs and negative habits.

Hypnotic Writing

7 Things Sapping Your Creativity Right Now

This was a very easy article to write. I was late in getting started this month, and as my publication deadline got closer and I could no longer wait until I felt like writing an article, I was forced to sit down and do it. In doing it, I thought about the last month (when I meant to be getting started on this as well as other creative projects), and I identified seven things that have gotten in the way of my creativity. Maybe youll see yourself in some of these.

1. Not getting enough sleep I noticed this one the most when I DID finally get a good, long sleep (the night before writing this, actually). All of a sudden my muse was speaking to me again (see below for more on that), the day looked positive and full of promise and I was open to the ideas that are always flowing around me. And I just plain felt good! Sleep is something I write and speak a lot about, and its still a practice I need to consciously keep up so I dont slip back into bad habits.

2. Trying to do it alone Bouncing ideas off someone else is invaluable to me. When I stop before I start (see below), and I dont consult or collaborate with others, I miss out on the collective voices that are available to me. Just hearing my own telling of an idea reading it aloud or describing it can be enough. Any feedback or new ideas is a bonus. If the idea is really fresh and precious, I may ask the listener not to give feedback, and let them know I just need a sounding board at this point.

3. Stopping before I start Not carrying out my creative projects because of self-doubt, real or imagined obstacles, perfectionism or generalized fear. When it came to writing todays article, I had to Just Start.

4. Poverty mentality Its very constricting to be worried about money all the time. Im doing a lot of reading and learning about this topic right now Im sure Ill be able to share more in future issues.

5. A cluttered work/living space Its been over two years since I finished my first major de-cluttering and its time for another one! Exciting! While my living space has stayed tidy, some clutter (things I dont need, use or love) has crept back in and is starting to gnaw at me.

6. Disconnection from my inner wisdom When Im rested and feeling well, I can much more easily tap into the ideas that are flowing around me. Whether its being open to something useful in an article Im reading, or just listening for the solution of that problem Ive been struggling with for a few days (and really, it just came to me), the answers are there.

7. Disconnection from my body If Id been paying closer attention to my bodys needs, I think I would have arranged sooner for some nights of extra sleep. I need to listen to the messages my body is sending me do I feel nourished by the food Im eating (or am I getting hungry too often), am I hydrated (or do I feel thirsty or light-headed, or is my skin extra-dry)? Am I showing physical signs of stress muscle tightness, shallow breathing or headaches? My body will reward me if I listen to it, use common sense and give it what it wants.

If you saw yourself in some of these examples, take heart. Awareness is the most important step for change to take place. To look in more detail at your self-care habits, take the free quiz on the Resources page of my website.

Positive Thinking to Enhance Your Relationships and Your Life

After recovering from a broken nose resulting from a smash in the face with a can of corn by my grandfather, my father left home at age 17 for broadcasting school. As he drove away, his father's parting words to him were, "You ain't gonna amount to nothin. You'll be back here in a week!"My father never returned home, and like many of that generation, did what he had to do to survive. One night, too hungry to think straight, he traded a silver dollar for a candy bar. He always regretted that, he later informed me.

This man I knew as "Dad," greatly influenced many people. He read, "How to Win Friends and Influence People" at age 17. The resultant effect restructured the rest of his life. One of the most positive individuals to ever grace my life, his perpetual words of encouragement spurred me on to the next thing throughout my college days. He ended up being one of those "self made" men, owning several businesses and being a treasured friend of many and leader in his community. One thing I always knew about him was this:my dad was different than anyone else I'd ever met.

In the current age of modern brain research, a study done at Ben-Gurion University in Israel has demonstrated links between serious illness and life circumstances.Several other studies have discovered a connection between the hope inspired by religious faith as important in raising survival rates for cancer. While scientists are just now discovering the links between positive/negative thinking patterns and brain chemistry, it seems that the results are starting to demonstrate what many have known for years:there is power in positive thinking. This article provides three quick tips anyone can implement to change negative thought patterns and bring more joy to their life.

Tip #1:Henry Ford was right.

"Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you are right," said Henry Ford. We're all aware of the psychology behind the "self-fulfilling prophecy," but did you know that there's actual brain research out there supporting it? Dr. Caroline Leaf says her 25 years of research demonstrates that the way our brains are created actually perpetuates positive or negative thought pattern habits. So, if we have negative thought patterns and do not choose to reprogram our thinking, we will simply have more negative thought patterns.

Tip #2:Whatever you pay attention to grows.

Fitting in with the above science is the notion that focusing on whatever is true, noble, right and good, praiseworthy, excellent, admirable, etc., will encourage more of the same to occur. Some studies show that optimism actually reduces the effects and occurrences of heart attacks.

Tip #3:Capture the negative thoughts - then throw them out!

Cancer research has demonstrated that negative thought patterns can actually make you more prone to illness.Knowing that can generate all sorts of stress for individuals who haven't become aware that they can actually control what they think about. Taking control over one's thought patterns is a discipline worth figuring out, however, as the results generate health and peace.

Bottom Line: Preacher Norman Vincent Peale was right - there is power in positive thinking!

Yoga For Prosperity - Define and Cultivate Abundant Energy

Why do some Yoga Gurus frown on the concept of prosperity? What does a prosperous life mean to them? How do you define prosperity? If you want to be prosperous, how would you go about cultivating abundant energy? Let's take a journey into Yogic philosophy and the energy surrounding the cultivation of prosperity.

Is a prosperous life bad? Is abundance the reason for a miserable existence? The reason prosperity is scorned by some is based upon what a person does with it. Will a person become greedy or generous, when faced with a sudden windfall of wealth? It all depends on the person. Greed and selfishness are the true roots of the problem.

There seems to be an ageless conflict between spiritual growth and economic growth. Some people see prosperity only as material wealth. This is how the dividing line between Yoga and money was arrived at. Yet, all of us wish a newborn child and a newlywed couple a long and prosperous life.

Prosperity has many definitions, and the most important qualities of a prosperous life are not tangible. Prosperity can be defined as any of the following: Comfort, joy, inner peace, love, an easy life, or fortunate financial circumstances. The opposite of prosperity is misery, inner turmoil, sadness, rage, or poverty.

Only a person, who is consumed with intense hatred, would wish misery, sadness, rage, or poverty, on another being. Therefore, look at abundance and prosperity for what they are. Prosperity and abundance are tools to help everyone.

If you want to be prosperous, how would you go about cultivating the energy of abundance? Firstly, you should realize that you deserve prosperity as much as anyone else. So many people feel that they are not worthy of a comfortable life. This sort of change in your thinking requires you to re-program your mind and envision success.

The second step is to engage The Law of Karma by taking positive action. Do not wait for your dreams to happen by wishing for them. You must move forward, toward your dreams, with a plan of action. Just by making small changes each day, you are on the path to prosperity.

Your meditation or Yoga practice time should be filled with positive energy. You could view meditation and Yoga as time spent "charging your batteries." The ancient Yogis realized that the cultivation of energy, which we know as Prana, was time well spent. Complete presence in the moment, during meditation or Yoga practice, allows you to draw positive energy from your surroundings.

Get That Gorgeous Guy - How to Be Confident and Stand Out

Do you exude confidence when you're around men? Do you know how to carry yourself well? Do you know how to stand out and get men to notice and take interest in you? Read on and find out how being confident can help you get that man you've been eyeing.

There's just something sexy about confident women. Guys go crazy over a lady who can handle herself well. Confidence is more than a matter of maintaining eye contact and making sure that you sound smart. These things will contribute to your overall personality, but there's more that you have to do to exude that total confidence that men are crazy about. Confidence has to be reflected on everything about you - every movement, every part of the body and in every word that comes out from your lips.

The thing about poise and self-confidence is that you can't fake them. You're going to have to develop them so they become part of your whole persona. And there is only one way for you to be confident. This is by overcoming your insecurities - your fear of rejection.

The lack of confidence among women is almost always rooted on this fear of being not good enough for a guy. It's that fear that you're going to say or act weird or inappropriate around the man that you've been crushing on is making your self confidence crumble. And when you're not confident enough, you tend to stay mute in front of that gorgeous man. What better way to turn him off than by acting like a statue, doing nothing but listen the whole time?

Men want to know about the women they interact with just as much as they love talking about themselves. You can't expect to survive the night with nods and grunts of affirmation. You're going to have to start building your confidence and talk to that guy before he finds you too cold or get the impression that you are uninterested.

Face your fear

So, how do you build confidence? First, you have to understand and accept that it's this fear of not being liked that is keeping you from the man that you're attracted to. Overcome this insecurity by adopting the belief that you're great as you are. Even when there's still a chance that you're going to blurt out something weird, know that being forced to put your foot in your mouth sometimes is part of life. Guys are more blunt. They can even be weirder most of the time, so cut yourself some slack.

Face your fear of rejection. Even the prettiest models and beauty queens are incapable of getting every guy hooked. Beauty is subjective, so just because one man didn't profess his undying love for your beauty doesn't necessarily mean that all men won't. Believe in yourself and that you're attractive in your own right. To be confident, you start by loving yourself and believing that yes, you're one great lady that any guy would want to date.

Master Mental Mountains to Summit Success

For many working Americans, success-the ability to live life how you wish-might seem far away from the daily work routine. But the ability to sustain your current standard of living without a job, IS attainable. It's called financial freedom, and it's entirely up to you. This article will provide you with a helpful map to reach your real estate income goals.

What is the difference between a common wage earner and a first generation real estate millionaire? Why do some people "make it big" while others only dream of success? Most of the time, "dreamers" fail in their attempts for success because of a combination of poor planning, lack of knowledge, and failure to follow a plan.

Dreamers are like fledgling hikers trying to reach a distant mountain peak. Although they can see the peak far above the trees, they get turned around and lose their way when they try to reach the summit. Sadly, most dreamers quickly give up. Once upon a time I was a dreamer, but I found a way to summit my mountain peak.

I'm not smarter or better than the average person, I just had a map. My map for success was charted through trial and terror by my father, an enthusiastic real estate entrepreneur. His map for success consists of three parts: 1) Visualization, 2) Affirmation, and 3) Actualization.

Visualization
The first part of the map is called visualization. Define in your mind and then on paper, what success means to you. Are you working towards a $100,000 income, a bigger home, college tuition? Is your idea of success sustaining your present lifestyle and income level, but without a job? If so, list your current income as Financial Goal 1 (write it down.) Feel free to add subsequent goals, for example:

Financial Goal 1-replace my salary with real estate income in 12 months
Financial Goal 2-create a $50,000 cash cushion in 18 months
Financial Goal 3-grow income by 50% in 24 months

Affirmation
The first part of the map involved setting a destination. Now you must prepare for your journey by affirming a successful attitude. Your path to wealth will be fraught with obstacles, and in order to reach your destination you must resolve within yourself that success is the only acceptable outcome. Don't be nave, attitude is difficult to adjust, and change is only possible if you believe in yourself. Financial freedom is entirely up to you.

My students at Investors United School of Real Estate include stock brokers, doctors, programmers, business owners, as well as cash-poor folks like Thurman, a laid-off baker with four children to feed, or Justin, an unemployed 23-year-old with bills to pay. Many people would say that the cash-poor folks are at a disadvantage, but last month Thurman made over $40,000, and Justin made $32,000! Why? These students needed the money so badly that they were forced to believe in success.

Do you believe that success is possible? Moreover, do you believe that you will succeed? There is no room for doubt. Say to yourself, "I will change my life. I am capable of great things. I can, I can, I can, I WILL!" Clear your mind of bills, clear your mind of nay-sayers and negative influences. Pull up anchor, and believe in your ability. You can do it.

Actualization
In the previous two steps, you conceived a goal, then affirmed that reaching your goal is possible. Step three requires action. Take out a sheet of paper and ask yourself:

What information do I need to accomplish my real estate goals?
Who are the people or groups that I need to work with?
What are the obstacles between me and where I want to be?

Your answers to these questions will form a path of action to reach your financial goals. Will you make calls to real estate owners? Search courthouse records? Contact owners in escheat? Attend auctions? Will you educate yourself? Seek a mentor?

When your written plan of action is complete, make it part of your everyday life. Success is a result of successful habits. We all have the same 24 hours; take the opportunity to replace bad habits with successful ones. Every moment is an opportunity to make a difference. Turn off the television, eliminate frivolous gossip. Allocate 15 minutes to one hour to make progress. When your time is over, stop. A little effort goes a long way.

Your successful habits are based upon priorities, the mark of a successful lifestyle. Recently, a friend asked when I plan to replace my old Jeep. "Would it be more frugal to spend $2,500 in repairs, or $30,000 on a new Jeep?" I questioned. According to the best-selling study of America's millionaires, The Millionaire Next Door, most millionaires believe that financial independence is more important than displaying high social status. Live below your means.

To maintain their motivation, many successful people admit to using a simple technique. They write their goals on three slips of paper: one for their purse or wallet, one for their bathroom mirror, and one for their desk or workspace. I have found this little trick to be an extremely effective reminder to take action.

The difference between dreamers and successful people is the system of visualization, affirmation, and actualization. Proven and powerful, these steps are a map for success in any endeavor. Handed down from my father, I used the map to control over four million dollars in real estate before my 23rd birthday! Using the same map, many of my students create tens of thousands of dollars (or more) every month.

Seize the opportunity and apply what you've learned here. Even if your goal seems far, far away, use your new map to conquer your mental mountain and summit success! After his final descent from Mount Everest, one climber was asked how he was able to climb the tallest mountain in the world. To which he answered, "one step at a time."

Ian Charles Parrish is a professional real estate investor and President of Investors United School of Real Estate in Baltimore, Maryland. He can be reached though InvestorsUnited.com

Property Management - Maintenance Considerations

For the property manager, maintenance is a major responsibility that involves preserving and improving the property. The overriding objective is to maximize the owners profits while holding down expenses for property upkeep. This person must accurately assess the property's upkeep needs and employ qualified personnel to do the work. These jobs will break down into recurring jobs, preventative maintenance, repairs, and major expansion or remodeling.

One of the main considerations is the hiring of personnel to work these jobs. Hiring above the need will waste money, while inadequate maintenance staffing will result in degradation of the property, and unnecessary expenses in the longer term. Often property managers will contract out these jobs, especially the ones involving new construction. Contracting out these jobs can be an efficient method of cost control through the bidding process. Larger properties with about 20 units or more will probably require at least one maintenance person on permanent staff. These permanent staff can better conduct the recurring upkeep, and cleaning, some of which must be done daily.

Variations in the economy make it difficult to plan ahead for building upkeep costs, but this is a necessary skill of the property manager. Property managers must employ a bidding and evaluation method for contract maintenance. Costs should be minimized.

A reasonable estimate of repair and upkeep costs is probably in the range of 25% of all the income received in rents. This is for a residential property. The driver or instigation for much of this work is tenant requests. Due to the complexity of tracking the building's inventory, determining what jobs need to be done, and hiring these jobs done, a good computer software program is recommended. The computer can help greatly in tracking the many moving parts of managing a large property. Balancing tenant requests, occupancy, building condition, and costs make property management a challenging career.

Seven Simple Steps to Be Happy

How happy are you with your life? Do you worry that life is passing you by? Do you ever find yourself daydreaming, wondering what life would be like if you followed your heart's desires? Do you know what makes you happy? Or do you feel it is too late, you are too old, tired or just too busy, to change and be happy? Can you even imagine change is possible?

When you feel stuck in your routine, tired and frustrated it is easy to think your life will always be the same. To be happy, you need to take action. It can feel daunting to follow the path of your dreams. However, when you fail to be true to yourself, you run the risk of feeling bitter, sad and lonely.

To help you be happy, follow the following easy seven steps.

1. Find a quiet space at home or at work where you are able to sit quietly and reflect. During this time, ask yourself, what is it you desire?

2. Let your imagination run riot. Capture your thoughts and visions on paper. Write, draw, paint, create a collage of your heart's desires, for instance, if you dream of living in a house by the sea, collect images of the waves, seagulls, seashells, cut out copies of the sort of house you want to live in.

3. Talk about your dreams. Words have power. Combined with your vision on paper, your dreams will soon feel more tangible.

4. Spend time nursing your dreams. Your dreams are a reflection of your heart desire. The more time you spend nurturing, breathing life into your thoughts, it becomes easier for you to be inspired to take action. If it is a house by the sea you desire, spend time visiting local sea resorts, maybe get a job working near the sea front, so you can smell the sea air during your lunch break.

5. Enlist the help of a coach, mentor or trusted advisor who will listen and help you create a plan of action. Continue to refer to the vision you created earlier on paper to keep you focused and clear on your progress.

6.. Celebrate and Give Thanks for your Success. As you achieve each goal, throw a party and celebrate. Savor the pleasures of your success with friends and family. Go for a boat trip, have a meal at a top sea fare restaurant. The more you Give Thanks and celebrate every achievement, the easier it is for you to stay on track.

7. Look after your health. A healthy constitution forms the foundation of success. Eat well, exercise regularly, have fun and relax. It takes time, physical effort, good will and lots of energy to live the life you desire.

As you work through these steps, you will soon notice how much stronger you feel and how much easier it becomes for you to be happy. Let me know how you get on! I look forward to joining your next Celebration Party!

Religious Faith Or Religious Fac

Pride as a Virtue

Have you ever been so proud of yourself you could hardly stand it? That's how I feel about my most recent blog design, and I have to tell you, it's a terrific feeling. Sometimes I get online for a minute just to look at it again and smile.

I'm aware that our culture objects somewhat to outright statements of personal pride. We share a sort of mild taboo against looking too proud of oneself. I suppose this derives from the belief that humility is a virtue--a belief I happen to embrace. But I don't think feeling terrific about ourselves is the opposite of humility.

The virtue of humility is about knowing that we are all equal--that no one human being is more worthy of respect or compassion or opportunity than another. And pride as a virtue does not stand against this belief. Virtuous pride is not comparative; it is simply the joy of knowing that we are capable of great things--as is every other human being on the planet.

The next time you're thinking about undermining your own joy by downplaying your pride in your own accomplishments, don't. There's nothing wrong with feeling great about yourself. I wish everybody felt great about themselves. We all deserve it!

So go ahead--give yourself a shout out. What do you feel proud of?

7 Tips on How to Be Happy in Despite the Recession Or Debt!

Choosing happiness for yourself will give you more energy and you will feel much better about yourself and the people that you spend time with and life just flows. You may think that you do not have anything to be happy about but this is not true. Happiness is a moment by moment choice and when you make it you attract more good into your life. The law of attraction is working in your life all the time (even if you are not aware of it). Choosing happiness is easy if you commit to it. You can see the glass half empty or half full it is your choice.

1. When you encounter a problem that causes you an emotional reaction then take some time out to feel into the problem and see if you can find a message in it. What is it trying to tell you. Takes some deep breaths and feel into the problem. Meditate if that is something that you are comfortable with or just relax and see what it is about this problem that is causing you to react in this way. Once you have an understanding of your reaction to your problem you can let the problem go and be thankful that you have learned a lesson in how to live a better life for yourself.

2. Have gratitude for what you have. This is so important. It is so easy to spend time thinking about what you don't have but thinking about what you have and having gratitude for these things is so important because it makes you feel good and it also attracts more of what you want into your life so that you can live your life in a much fuller way. This one was very difficult for me when I had a lot of debt but this is the very time when this is most important. In thinking about what I had instead of thinking about how I was going to be able to pay my bills I felt sooooooooo much better. Try it it really works!

3. Use your time thinking and visualizing what you want in your life. Not in a way that feels bad because you lack what you are wanting but play a game with yourself and think about your ideal life and how it would look. What you would be doing and how you feel when you are doing what you love. By doing this you are not only activating the law of attraction to your advantage but you are also viewing your life in a way that gives you joy and fulfillment and makes you happy. So much of your life can be spent on thinking about what you don't want but if you spend your time thinking about what you love then you will feel so much better.

4. Commit to doing what you love as often as you can. It is easy to get caught up in the business of life and just do what seems urgent at any given time but by taking control of your life and taking time for the things that you love you are bringing more happiness in your life. Think about what you have to do. Does it move you towards a better life? Is it something that you can ask someone else to do so as to free up some time? Is it something that really has to be done? Don't just live your life without purpose and do things just because they are in front of you. Make sure what you are doing is something that you love and that you are moving in a way that is for good for you and good for others in your world.

5. Help others and listen to them and really hear what they are saying. It is so easy to get caught up in your own world but by helping and supporting others you automatically feel better about yourself and the great thing is the people that you are helping and listening to are so grateful to you and it makes them happy also. Knowing that you are touching the lives of others in a really positive way really makes you feel good inside and this touches everybody that you come into contact. It makes the world a better place for all.

6. Send out cards or greetings to others just for the purpose of telling them that they have touched your life and to make them feel good. Tell them that you love them and that you are sorry if you need to. You have probably not taken the time to reach out to people who have touched you but it is so important to take the time to do this and sending a card is a great way to do this. We all love to be appreciated and by appreciating others you feel good and so does the receiver.

7. Take time to appreciate the good things in life. Most of the truly great things in life are free. Walking in nature, hearing the twitter of the birds and seeing the beauty of the trees and the flowers. The beautiful warmth of a baby's smile. There is so much to appreciate if you only look for it.

So now is the time to move out of the hustle and bustle of life. Instead of just doing all the time and complaining that you do not have time for what you love or what gives you pleasure just make it a priority to live your life in a way that is much more in alignment with who you really are.

I hope that this helps. If you have any questions at all please let me know.

Is Self Help Real

Whether you are reading self help manuals simply to be able to better control your own life or you have serious issues that you are attempting to address and rectify, you have probably heard a great deal about the concept of self-help. How does the entire concept of self-help work in reality? If there are pressing issues, they have to be addressed by someone who knows all of the intricacies of such issues. Or do they? If everybody could help himself or herself, would they not be doing it already? Nothing can be that simple.

The first fact that222B must be considered is that it is not easy. If it were that easy, the entire world would be a much nicer place than it is now. If ignorance were truly bliss, there would also be a lot more happy people in the world. Unfortunately, reality is going to set in for everybody eventually. The reality is that if you have issues that need to be addressed, the sooner you face them, define them and learn how to work with them or around them, the sooner you will be able to improve your quality of life.

There are some key points there though. You will have to learn enough about what bothers you to be able to define it. Only then will you be able to come up with a viable means of working with your own personal issues. Every person is an individual and his or her individual needs will be unique and specific to him or her. For most people, it would not hurt to seek out at least some qualified advice in getting started. So that brings you back around full circle. How do you actually get to the point where you can help yourself or is this really even a viable alternative?

You can seek out all of the specialists and professionals in the world. You can buy every book that ever existed, you can get every motivational tape that you can get your hands on, and the fact is they will not help you at all. They will show you where the correct path is. They will give you an idea of where to start and where to finish your journey. Many of them will give you everything that you need to make it through the next minute, hour or even day without further complications. Still, when everything is boiled down, none of them will help you.

So how do you get the help you need? The bottom line is that all of the help in the world will not make you feel even one iota better, until such a time as you are capable of learning to help yourself. Even then, learning will not be enough to get you through. You must take what you learn and put it into practice. You have to use what works and get rid of what does not. No matter how professional someone may be, they will never be able to know and understand you the way that you do.

So what does that say for self-help? When it comes right down to it, there really is not anything in this world other than self-help. Once you accept that fact and learn to act on it, you can make a world of difference in your life. You have all the help you need, all within yourself.

Accomplishing Your Goals

To Be Successful Be Married to Your Goals

Absolute commitment is essential for success. If you are not married to your goals you are doomed for failure.

You have to love your goals. For you to love your goal it has to be big enough. You need a "big hairy audacious goal". A goal that makes you uneasy at first, but once you proclaim it long and strongly enough you'll get use to the idea of you achieving the goal.

So the first step of being married to your goal is having a goal worth Marrying. Meaning the goal got to be great, it has to contain your deepest desires. It has to be something that you are proud of, something that you can show your kids, your parents, your friends.

Once you figure out this great big hairy audacious goal, (which will take some time to think of), the next step, and the most important step is making the decision to be committed to this goal.

Meaning you cannot waiver from this goal. The goal might change a little bit, but the essence of the goal has to remain intact. You have to be committed to this goal for life.

Meaning you will work everyday to achieve this goal. You will enjoy the trying. You will take every necessary step and action. You will overcome every obstacle. You will not quit, you will not stop until you accomplish this goal.

This is a win-win situation. Because it's about the journey not about the destination. If you achieve your goal then you will accomplish something amazing. If you spend every second of everyday trying to achieve your goal, then you will live a life of passion.

Living the life, taking the actions, doing the steps, never quitting, never wavering, this is the level of intensity and persistent needed to accomplish your dreams.

Setting Goals the SMART Way

Goal setting is an extremely effective technique for achievement in life and business. However, setting goals requires more than merely writing down a list of what we want. We need to establish goals we can stay committed to through to completion. One method of doing this is set our goals the SMART way, using the following five evaluation criteria. Is your goal a SMART goal?

S- Specific
M-Measurable
A- Achievable
R- Relevant
T -Timely

Is Your Goal Specific?
Often times we set our goals too broadly. A SMART goal is specific enough for us to know exactly what we want. We need to be clear about what we are going to do, why is it important and how we are going to do it. The more questions we can answer about our goals, the clearer the goal will become.

For example, I'd like to buy a new home. With the SMART criteria in mind, I know that my goal needs to be more specific. A better way to state this goal would be: I want to buy a four bedroom, two bath home, in the suburbs, before the new school year begins.

Being specific about our goal helps us to maintain focus and directs our concentration toward activity that supports our achievement.

Is Your Goal Measurable?
You may have heard this phrase before: You can only manage what you can measure. The SMART goal must have measurable parameters which can be tracked. This provides a way for us to monitor our progress and lets us know when we have achieved our goal.

For example, We want to increase our company sales over the next year. This goal would be better stated by including a more measurable parameter. We want to increase sales by 2% a month, over the next year.

The measurable goal allows us to manage activity throughout the project. It assists us by engaging our attention and maintaining our commitment. It also alerts us when something isn't working as intended, giving us the opportunity to change our course as needed.

Is your Goal Achievable?
The SMART goal is one which we are both able and willing to work toward. This is not to say that we shouldn't aim high. In fact, our motivation is often highest when we are willing to stretch ourselves. But if the goal is so far out of reach, we will lose motivation very quickly.

For example, setting a goal to purchase an $800K home with an annual income of $60K is likely not achievable (under most circumstances). We should be certain to evaluate whether the goal is within our available resources, knowledge and the time needed to be successful.

Is your Goal Relevant?
To maintain our attention, our goal needs to be consistent with our values and the other goals in our lives. What makes the goal worthwhile? If the outcome is not meaningful enough, we will not be motivated to follow through with the commitment. Our goal must be something we really want, not just something that sounds good to have.

Also, we need to be certain our goals are consistent in all areas of our life. One common conflict, is when our work goals are not in alignment with our personal or family goals. We need to be sure to evaluate the big picture of how our goals integrate in all areas of our life.

Is your Goal Timely?
Finally, we need to establish a timeframe for completing our goal. Without a time limit there is no urgency to take action. We run the risk of delaying activity or falling into procrastination. Be sure to define when the goal is to be completed by. Is it one week, three months or five years from now? Set a timeframe that is both measurable and achievable. Establishing a realistic endpoint for our goal will give us a clear target to work toward.

So, as you evaluate your future goals, remember these five SMART criteria.

  1. Be Specific about what you want.
  2. Make sure your progress is Measurable.
  3. Aim high for what is Achievable.
  4. Focus on what is Relevant in your life.
  5. Set a Timely endpoint for completion.

How to Increase Sales Using a Goal Achievement Mentality Instead of a Goal Setting One

Many sales professionals set a lot of sales goals from daily to weekly to monthly to quarterly to yearly. Yet many businesses still have faltering to less than stellar sales. So what is the reason for this gap between desires or wants and actual results?

Let me ask you a question: Why do you set a sales goal? Possibly your first thought to answering this question is because your boss told you to or you may even your own personal and professional reasons. However, that does not answer the question of why?

The answer to this question is to achieve a result that is better than the previous outcomes from your sales activities. Setting goals are part of the goal achievement process along with planning goals and executing them.

Now is the time to change the sales mindset from Goal Setting to Goal Achievement. What happens when you change your mindset, you begin to think differently about the entire goal process and you then carry that mindset into all of your other actions.

The reason I share this with you is that many times when working with colleagues through numerous strategic partnerships I receive comments like "You are amazing" or "You are incredible" and even questions as "How do you think like that?" The reason for these reactions is because I have a goal achievement mentality instead of just a goal setting one.

When you think in terms of goal achievement, you have additional opportunities to emotionalize the goal within your own life whether personally or professionally. Sales Coaching Tip: You must build your WIIFM (What's in it for me?) to increase sales when using a goal achievement process.

Additionally, you begin to think of the potential obstacles that are in your way keeping you from successful goal achievement. Now you have engaged your higher order thinking skills and your logical brain is working in tandem with your emotional brain to secure the goal to win more sales.

Great sales professionals know how to consistently achieve their sales goals. By adopting a mind set of goal achievement, you win the Increase Sales Race every single time.

Would you like to win more sales? Are you tired of coming up short with your monthly, quarterly or annual sales goals? Would you like to stop bleeding all the dollars from poor attitudes to unhappy customers? Then you may discover a possible solution through Triage Business Planning action plan where you can become one of the few to change and realize business success instead one of the many who continue to fight change and ultimately die.

Christianity As the World Changes

Most people seem to go through life doing what others do and never seem to question much about whether the people around them are actually right or wrong. How many of us do exactly what our parents, grandparents and great grandparents do? I was raised a Christian by Christians and they were raised Christians by other Christians and so on. I don't know when or who in my family tree actually decided to become part of the Christian faith. I don't think it really matters today.

Someone had to of made the decision and I will probably never know. I do know this, I have followed Christianity as far as I possibly could and the next step in my life is going to be based somehow on a more spiritually universal world. I can't seem to follow something, that doesn't make sense to me, anymore. Christianity is more or less a religion that people throughout history have made adjustments to, whenever they felt necessary.

This is often like changing a tire on a car as it starts to wear or goes flat. In order for the car to operate and run smoothly we will need to pay a little attention to it, this will require maintenance over time as the car begins to have problems. We have to solve these problems or our car will become useless and will need to be sent to the junkyard.

Religions throughout history have done the same, as the people become more intelligent and less dependent, they need to create new things and make adjustments. If they don't make these adjustments over time, the religion will no longer be necessary and be sent to the junk heap of time. This is what happened to the Greek and Roman gods, what makes you think, that your God or gods will stand the test of time.

Do you think there's going to be any more adjustments to Christianity in the future? It seems like the last adjustments were Scientology and the Mormons or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. These religions don't exactly follow what Paul started in the Roman Catholic Church. What will the next adjustment be and why will it be necessary?

If you choose to follow Christianity, how do you know which church is right, I mean their core beliefs are right, aren't they. To love your neighbor and be compassionate. To show kindness towards others and help the needy. Do you think that we're going to have to adjust this one day and start treating certain religious followers, whose skin color is deference or speaks a different language with cruelty. I wonder what the next adjustment in Christianity is going to be.

Do You Believe In The Bible

Spreading the Good Word of God Gently

The other day I was walking through the park when I saw a man, an extremely large man reading the Bible. I was minding my own business like I normally do in full observation mode, just simply enjoying life. When what I thought was a tree reading the Bible, moved and scared the crap out of me. This man was about 6'9" and look like he played professional football but when he spoke it was nonthreatening and very gentle.

Have you read the Bible he said. I thought to myself, you have got to be kidding me. Couldn't this person have been smaller and what's he going to do when I tell him that I have but no longer follow Christianity. I liked my face and the rest of my body, should I lie to this man to save my own life or would he be understanding about my beliefs.

I threw the dice out on the table and told him that I have read the Bible and do not believe it is the word of God, the Creator of the universe. I explained to him that, there is a lot of useful information and some wonderful stories in the Bible but that it could not completely be proven as factual information. I continued to explain to him that there was a lot of information in the Bible that contradicted itself and some that simply wasn't true.

He sat back down on the park bench and asked me to join him. I couldn't resist as I always have enjoyed talking about religion and ready to learn something about this man and why he is a Christian. He started to tell me about some recent events that have happened in his life, some bad, some worse and of course some that he didn't want to talk about. However, he did mention a trip to church a few Sundays ago that changed his life.

I was happy for him that he had found peace but explained to him that he is extremely vulnerable to anything right now that can make a little sense out of his life. Be careful I told him, because you could get caught up in something that feels and sounds good, only to find out later in life, that you have questions about Christianity that can't be answered.

I had a very pleasant conversation with this person and I believe he appreciated a few of the points I made. When people are down and out and their lives seem to be really messed up, they're extremely vulnerable to others religious beliefs, whether they're right or wrong.

Don't force your religious beliefs onto others, be kind and courteous to those who are on the edge and having difficulties in life. Explaining to them about your religion and how it has benefited you is wonderful but it might not be as beneficial to someone else. The next time you plan on converting someone who is down in the dumps, make sure that you understand your own religion before you pass false beliefs onto others.

It's like a cancer spreading through the body, most of the cancer cells don't know what they are doing or how much damage is going to be done until it's too late.

Is the Bible Accurate

I'm going to start with the first book of the holy Bible, Genesis chapter 1 verse one through five. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

And God said," let there be light," and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

If the Bible is historically accurate, did God actually create earth. I have been battling over this, my whole life. It's very easy for someone to accept and believe in any religion, government, other people or whatever they truly desire to make real. I see it every day of my life, open your eyes and you will see it to.

It's hard to imagine that a superior entity like God created everything that we touch and see. The moon itself is pretty big and the creation of the sun would prove to be a little more difficult, but if you're God and your all knowing and all powerful, he or she or it, must be one incredible being.

This is only the first couple of paragraphs in the Bible and there is no, I repeat no, historical accuracy to this event. It seems like God or man, whoever wrote the Bible, should have started the Bible with something a little more believable for people that live in the 21st century. It's not hard to imagine someone 2000 years ago, believing in something like this.

2000 years ago the Romans were worshiping their own gods, we might find this ridiculous today but back then the Romans would punish you if you didn't worship their gods. We are not too far from that today. If we don't stop organized religion and their influence on humanity, we're going to have serious problems in the future.

The biggest problem I foresee is common sense. If the Bible has 500 historical accurate facts that can be proven without a doubt by historians, scholars and other intelligent people, but has one thing that can't be explained, how do we handle this. How do we handle the fact that the Bible states God created light? If this is false, what else is false in the Bible.

Greg Vanden Berge is a published author, internet marketing expert, motivational inspiration to millions of people all over the world and is sharing some of his wisdom with experts in the fields of writing, marketing, and personal development. Have you ever really ask yourself Who is, Jesus of Nazareth?

Greg is currently working on a Personal Power Ideas. If you're ever wondering why some people can achieve success, while others seem to struggle aimlessly, what would it hurt, to take a couple of minutes of your time, if you could actually find the truth.

The Future of World Religions at the Cross Roads

The Catholic Pope is now under fire from Islam for comments made during a speech, which was like a history lesson about the wars between religion of the past and why they should be reviewed and prevented in the future. Unfortunately, it was misinterpreted by the Islamic Clerics and now we have yet another issue akin to the cartoons that offended the Muslim World. Is it the Catholic World we should scold for the comments of the Pope or should we scold the Muslim World for blowing it up out of context?

This clash of religion and wars has gone on too long. Who is at fault? Well we all are for allowing these conflicts to permeate our minds, TV sets and the World Mass Media, but really all-religion is problematic, Mankind needs to grow up, ditch religion and experience a little acceleration in forward progression of this species.

Some say we are moving too close to WWIII others say it has already started. Yes we are in the midst of WWIII; the conflict in Israel and cease fire and then the attack on US Embassy in Syria, kind of says it all, negotiation is not possible, so action must be taken Carl von Clauswitz style. Meanwhile if Islam does an international terrorist attack on Vatican, then the Italians will indeed strike at the heart of Islam. Do we really need to destroy human culture and history or can we agree to ditch religion without the scattering of human sacrifice across the desert sands? Consider this in 2006.

Time Management For Article Writers and Marketers - How to Schedule and Plan Your Article Writing

Planning and organizing your article writing schedule will be the best time management you can do. Before you sit down to write an article or a blog post, make some notes about what you will write about. Do any research you may need to do before you can start writing, so that you will have everything you need right next to you. Then you can begin to write and continue until your article is completed.

I like to research my article topic the day or evening before I will write it. That way I can leave my notes next to my computer and get started bright and early in the morning. I simply read through my notes and then start writing. I find that my articles flow more easily when I do it this way. Getting into the flow is what makes it fast and enjoyable to write, so do whatever you need to do so this can happen with your own writing.

I generally write my entire article before I choose a title. This is because what I originally thought I would write about changes slightly as I continue writing. I don't want to be locked in to writing about the exact thought the original title implies. Writing the title at the very end gives me the freedom to write what is flowing naturally from my ideas.

Even though I think of article writing as part of my work, I enjoy the process so much that it hardly seems like work. Whether I am promoting my own products and services or those of my affiliate partners, I am just thankful that I can make my living from home, or from wherever I am with an internet connection. This is a true blessing and one that I do not take lightly.

Rune Sorcery Heathenism - Our Ancestors Called it Hedenskap

Hedenskap is the modern Norse word for Heathenism. Asatru is the modern name for the study of the religion of our Nordic/Germanic ancestors.

This is the New Age of Aquarius. It will be with us for 2000 years. We need to build an entirely new paradigm for the study and practical use of our Ancestral religion and our Norse gods/goddesses to function in.

To be a successful and powerful 21st century Rune Sorcerer you must understand the past. Once you understand what Hedenskap and Heathenism of the past was all about then you can update them using the tools of the 21st century. The most important tools are the Laws of Quantum physics.

Let's look at what is written about the past. Hedenskap describes a belief system, a way of life. It is a simple religion which gives us a practical way of worship and life. Hedsenskap is a religion of the NOW. A religion for the everyday life. It is a religion that believes in life after death and brings us closer to the gods/goddesses.

Speaking o the "NOW", it describes the Law of Quantum Physics. We can use these laws to update Hedenskap into the 21st century with a new practical and powerful paradigm.

This is what the Laws of Quantum Physics tells us about the "NOW". There exists an infinite ocean of thinking intelligent energy called the Quantum Ocean, or the Mind of God. The Creator God who created all other gods.

Everything that is, was or will be exists in this Quantum ocean. Our Norse gods/goddesses and our runes exist there. They have always existed there. The Well of Mimir? There is no time in the Quantum Ocean. No past, present nor future. only the "NOW".

The Quantum Ocean responds to our thoughts and our symbols. As a modern day Rune Sorcerer you will need to use the Laws of Quantum Physics to attract energies out of the Quantum Ocean and into your life.

Here is a starting exercise for you to practice, the practicing Rune Sorcerer. How would you update the following spoken magical Hedenskap charms that were used before Christianity by our folk? What words would you use? What runes would you use? What rituals would you devise?

Charm against magical attacks: "You Hexer, you have attacked (name of person). Let that hex recede from him into the your marrow and bones. Let it be returned to you. I exorcise you and conjure you by the Hammer of Thor of this flesh, marrow and bone. I exorcise you by the Hammer of Thor, this very hour restore the health (name) in the name of Odin, Thor and Frey."

Charm for eyesight; " Blissful and hallowed is the day on which Baldur was born. Fly away, my blindness (name). Loki told Hod, the wicked blind god, who pierced Baldur through and through. From this wound issued Baldur's blood, which for your eues will be wholesome and good."

Start with these two. To become a Rune Sorcerer takes work and dedication. You must bring the past into the "NOW" and project it into the future. What does not change with the time withers on the vine.

An Unreasonable Conceit

"Its Christ and I, as I see it, if I stand, I stand with Christ, if I fall, I fall with Christ, either way I believe in Christ and His Father. Be encouraged My Brothers and Sisters and BELIEVE. In Christ Rev.A.R.Smith"

Pride. Inordinate self-esteem; an unreasonable conceit of one's own superiority in talents, beauty, wealth, accomplishments, rank or elevation in office, which manifests itself in lofty airs, distance, reserve, and often in contempt of others.

Pride is a chain, hung about the heart of those that fear others rebuke, and contempt for the fallen or the poor. You may not have a grand mansion, so what, many don't, you may not have as much money as your neighbor, so what, I don't either. You may not have the calling of God that others have, so what, even Peter was rebuked by Jesus, for trying to ascertain where He and John were going. Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. (John 21:21-22.)

Wesley states of These verses; St. John stays not for the call; he rises and follows him too; but says not one word of his own love or zeal. He chose that the action only should speak this; and even when he records the circumstance, he tells us not what that action meant, but with great simplicity relates the fact only. If here and there a generous heart sees and emulates it, be it so; but he is not solicitous that men should admire it. It was addressed to his beloved Master, and it was enough that he understood it.

Pride will be a block of Iron around your neck, weighing you down, and preventing you from asking aid, and prayer, from the other brothers, and sisters in Christ.
So you don't have to give, but I say you do. You give your time, and prayer to the Lord, for the resolution of some others difficulties. Do you believe that you are better than another, because of your possessions? Do you believe a poor man should not be sitting with you in Church? Then if you do, why do you go to Church? Is it to be seen, hear, admired, or should it be to worship the Lord. No matter what you have or don't have, the Lord is no respecter of persons. A rich man is just as important, as a poor one, and the other way around. For to you that are rich, What House can you build for the Lord, what offering can you give to the Lord that says, I love you more than the rest?

Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
How many times have you stopped the Lord from Blessing you, because of your pride? How many time would God have answered prayer, if it wasn't for your pride, and how many times have you, stopped Jesus from coming into your Church, because of pride? Was it an Angel at the door you turned away?
Was the man in bids, and shirt, a lowly man or an emissary of God?

For as it is written;
When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
Do you live, or are you, in the grips of shame? Then you are being deceived by the spirit of pride. Is pride a spirit? Yes, so is arrogance, loftiness, self righteousness, and many others that are too many to name. Each and every time you are ashamed of your, cloths, home, status, office, and even color, you are in the grips of Satan, and the spirit of Pride.

Pride is a cancer that eats away at the spirit of man, desiring to destroy all spiritual contact between you, and the Father.
Here is the definition of Lowly; Having a low esteem of one's own worth; humble; meek; free from pride.
Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart.
He scorneth the scorners; but he giveth grace to the lowly.
Jesus showed no pride, neither in His clothing, nor in His attitude with others. He came, from being exalted, to being poor and humble, not for His sake, but for ours.
Ask and it shall be given you. What happens if you don't ask? You don't receive.

Pro 29:23 A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.
If a Christian can't, or wont, call upon his brothers, and sisters for prayer, no matter what the circumstances are, then who can he turn to?
Are we all the same with the Lord? Doesn't he have the right, by the Gospel, to call upon the Church for a deliverance prayer? Do you have so much pride that you do not want the Church to know what your needs are?

If so then this is pride. We are all to be as one body, the arm is just as important as the eye, and the torso is, just as important as the hand. Our deliverance comes not from man but only from God. When those that can give, give, it is because the Lord has provided it for them. If a person can't give, his prayers are worth more than fine gold, because he believes is Gods promises.
I have, in the past, been bound by pride myself, but as the Lords Spirit taught me to depend upon God, the chain of pride fell from me, and I was set free to talk among the brethren.
I was set free by the word of the Lord, to ask, to seek, and to knock.
I no longer worried what people thought of me, I no longer feared what the Church might say of my poverty or dress, I no longer feared the world, I was free.

I wish to share this prayer with all, which came from an associate of mine, I hope you enjoy reading it.
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus, and I ask You to forgive me of anything I have done that could displease You in any way. I ask You to cover me with the Blood of Jesus and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Cause my thoughts to be Your thoughts, my desires, Your desires, my will, Your will, and put a guard across my mouth that I can say no more or no less than You would have me say. Keep me on the path that You have laid out for me today, and show me Satan's tactics in advance.

(From a Friend.)

Secrets of MLM Online Success--How to Make It Easy and Never Lose Motivation!

Well that's an easy one! Until you know what you want to gain from your MLM business, why you're doing it and what you're willing to give up to make it happen, then you ain't goin' nowhere!

There's incredible power in a goal that you can truly embrace! It will take you over and drive you on. You'll never have to look for motivation againit will always be there.

Forget those dream boards and all that hoopla. Maybe they work but I think they end up just being transitoryfrivolous stuff you think you want and put on the fridge to keep your sponsor happy.

Your real "why" that will truly motivate you isn't just an exciting or exotic goal, something it would be "nice to have or to achieve". Oh, no! To truly be an effective motivator your goal has to be gut-level-the total essence of your being. Your soul must demand that you have it. You know it's there but it's been hiding from you. Often because you don't truly believe you can have it.

You see, once you know what you really truly want, everything is possible!

Stumbling blocks become stepping stones. You work, you fail, you re-design and you move forward again. Don't waste your effort on somebody else's goal. Make sure it's truly something that "you" wanttotally without reservation.

Say my wife would like the big new house, but I'd really prefer the freedom that would come from having the income generated from investing the money or maybe a boat. She convinces me that the house would be great and I begin to work toward this goal. Pretty soon an obstacle arises and I give up.

Why did I give up?

That's easy! It wasn't my goal. I didn't really care about a new house and my wife doesn't really care about the boat I want. Goals are totally personal.

Often the goal is quite small; something that is meaningless to others but incredibly important to you. I remember a time when all I wanted was an extra $500 dollars a month so I could quit my second job which I hated. Doesn't sound like much but it was enough to get me started and keep me in the game.

Once I knew exactly what I wanted it was easy to put together a plan to get it.I knew what I wanted, why I wanted it and what I was willing to give up to get it.

Spending My Childhood Around Christians

I was born in the 1960s and raised in Southern California, United States of America. During that period of time, and in the area I was raised, there was basically one religion that dominated every aspect of mine and my friends lives. That religion was Christianity. When I was in elementary school, I knew one Jewish boy and he looked different than the Christians and even talk different. He was very smart and spent a lot of his time reading, instead of playing at recess.

There were no Muslims or Hindus and it was a predominantly white environment. The first black students I seen was when I entered the eighth grade and by the time I finished high school, I could count all of the black students I had met on both of my hands. So now you have a pretty good idea of my life, living in a white neighborhood that was 90% Christian.

As you can guessed it, I was raised a Christian, but not a regular Christian, I was a Methodist and proud of it, until my parents got tired of the church elders asking for money or if my father could help build the new church. My father explained to them, that he needed to work to support his family and could only contribute, what ever he could to the church and no more. They were very unhappy and made it uncomfortable for us to go to the church anymore.

Hard to imagine, isn't it. Christians asking for money and then when they don't receive it, getting mad at one of their brethren.

Well it was time to switch churches and we are now going to the Crystal Cathedral Church in Garden Grove California. These people had everything and it was a large church. This was before they built the massive glass structure that is presently the church sanctuary. I enjoy going to this church, because we didn't have to go to Sunday school and got to sit with the adults to worship.

By the time I was 15, neither one of my parents were going to church anymore and my life didn't seem to change that much, even though I prayed every night with my brother. Maybe that was it, I didn't have to go to church as long as I prayed every night... By the time I was 18 years old, I was more confused about organized religion than ever before and this included Christianity.

How can someone kill in the name of God? The Muslims were doing it, the Christians were doing it, the Muslims were fighting the Hindus in India and it all seemed normal. It didn't seem normal to me, when I was supposed to love my neighbor and live a life like Christ who never seemed to start fights or even get mad. Maybe a couple of times, over some money, in the Temple.

I have chosen not to be a part of organized religion. I'd figured out that most of our religious beliefs came from our upbringing. This seems to have brainwashed us into believing we are better because were right and know for a fact, that we have chosen to belong to the right religion. What if were not right?

I want to ask you a question, do you think that other religions are wrong and yours is right? If you really spend some time and think about this, you will see, that your religion is not that different than someone else's and neither was their upbringing. Most religious followers, belonged to the religion of their childhood.
