Motivation or Inspiration

In a recent conversation a colleague discussed doing motivational speaking. Then she said, "or maybe it's inspirational." That got me thinking about a common dilemma that managers and leaders face, "is it my role to motivate or to inspire?" To me, the two terms are very related but have a definite distinction.

Motivation is something that comes from within. As a manager or leader, I dont believe I can motivate you to do something, especially something that you aren't interested in doing. Motivation is completely personal.

What I CAN do is to create an environment that fosters self-motivation, based on precisely what motivates you whether that's money, responsibility, trust, empowerment, social meaning or something else.

And that's where inspiration comes into the picture, in creating that environment. Inspiration is an external factor. It's the spark that lights up an individual's motivators and sets them into action.

One of the most inspirational leaders of our time was Martin Luther King. His words and actions connected with people's internal motivators, specifically ethnic pride and social justice. He connected with people and inspired them with a vision of the future, and then showed them how they could be a part of making it a reality. Did he inspire everyone? No. There were many whose internal motivators didnt connect or align with his vision. There was probably nothing he could do to have them take action.

Think of some of the great energizing speakers or leaders that you've encountered. Did they inspire or motivate you?

One of our jobs as a leader is to create an environment that inspires individuals to connect their own inner motivators to a collective vision. Here's an example. A few years ago, I was coaching a banking executive, a regional sales leader. The collective vision of her group was to provide exceptional customer service while selling bank products and services to customers.

One of the financial specialists in her group was not meeting his goals. To motivate him, the executive kept explaining to the specialist that he was leaving money on the table, incentive money, when he failed to sell these services.

I asked the executive to tell me about the individual, and I quickly understood why this method wasn't working. She told me that the individual spent a lot time volunteering in the community and enjoyed spending time with family and friends; he had been with the bank a long time and really loved to socialize with the individuals he worked with. I explained to the executive that it didn't sound like money was a major incentive for this person and that it might be time to stop trying to motivate and start trying to inspire.

To inspire him, she needed to tap into this man's unique motivators, so I asked her to experiment by talking to the specialist about the future he was helping his customers create - the secure retirements, the college funds for their children and the first homes they were helping young couples purchase.

In a month, the specialist was meeting and in some cases exceeding goals. When the executive stopped trying to motivate with what SHE thought would work and what motivated her, and began trying to inspire the specialist and tap into their own motivators, they found a common ground. She created a vision and environment where the specialist could be self-motivated and thrive.

What motivates the people that you lead? How can you inspire them by sparking those motivators and linking them to the companys or your vision? Find these answers and you'll all succeed together.

Key Steps to Get and Stay Motivated

One of the biggest obstacles to success is the time factor. Everybody desires a change for better in any given area of their lives: health, finances, self esteem or personal relationships. But not all of us have what it takes to stick to a plan and walk it out.

The truth is that great ideas will not change our lives overnight. On the contrary, the changes we choose of our own will always happen gradually. And their outcome depends on how motivated we are and how motivated we will stay throughout the process.

Let's face it. Being enthusiastic about a new idea for a few days, or even a week, is easy. Anybody can do that. It is when the going gets tough and when it turns out to be harder than we imagined that we lose momentum and eventually give up on our new project.

If you are a giver-upper, here is good news for you: You can change that bad habit-because that is what quitting is all about-and learn how to achieve your goals successfully.

Acquire a Vision

Long term projects cannot succeed if they are chosen randomly as a whim of the moment. You might have very good ideas, but you need to take them one step further if you want to implement them successfully.

First ask yourself who you are and who you want to become.

You might not be aware of it, but God has already laid out a wonderful plan for your life. You were not placed furtively on this planet to survive as good as you possibly can. The Bible states you are His masterpiece created to walk in a life He has already prepared beforehand (Ephesians 2:10).

So all you have to do is connect with God and flow with His program!

Fix Your Thought Life

Most of us make the mistake of focusing on externals when we implement changes in our lives. We neglect working on our mindset, the very place where wrong thought patterns will cause our endeavor to fail.

If those wrong thoughts are not dealt with, they will lead you to quit just as they did in your previous projects. Because the thoughts you have today will determine your life tomorrow.

The most powerful way to change wrong thought patterns is by studying the Word of God-the Bible-and finding out what God has to say about your situation. And that leads to key number 3:

Have Faith

Somebody once said, "Faith can move mountains." And it does. Faith is the most important factor when it comes to achieving success in life.

You might say, "But I don't have a strong faith!"

That's easy to solve: Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. It is when you diligently seek God and His way of operating that you will come to see yourself as the one He created you to be: A victorious overcomer.

You can find out what God's plan is for your life and change the course of your life forever. Learn how to flow with God's plan for your life, and how to successfully develop the talents He has given you with my free e-course "7 Steps to Consistently Change Your Life" and e-book "The Power of Self-Directed Learning" at http://www.Self-DirectedLearningForSuccess.com

Solutions to Anger

Some of us have difficulty recognizing our anger; some of us find it so troublesome to acknowledge our anger that we deny it and turn it inwards on ourselves. Hmmm. Sounds painful. It is! Anger turned inward is called depression. (I can hear some of you, maybe even health professionals, typing away at a rebuttal.) That's okay, do whatever you need to do to deal with your anger issues. It is much healthier to take some action, provided it does not harm anyone including yourself, than to turn your anger in. Writing is a very constructive outlet for anger. And don't tell me I am opposed to antidepressant medication. I am not, if it is used as part of the solution. If we take a pill, legal or not, and collude with the prescriber, (or collude with the patient if we are the prescriber), saying the pill is the solution, we do a great disservice. Medication can be an enormous help in bringing one up to a level of functioning to effectively deal with the anger, fear and depression. Still, one does have to deal with the anger, fear and depression. Sorry, there is no magic pill and my magic wands have been on backorder for years now.

And, if you believe you have a "chemical imbalance" causing your depression, start balancing it with resolving your old anger. There is no harm in trying...it just might work. It's a chicken and egg deal...think about it.

So how does that anger stuff work? In an earlier article, we talked about children, (you?) who are brought up without being taught a constructive way to deal with normal anger. Watch a toddler get frustrated (angry) with trying something new, which they do about every two and a half minutes. If they are helped through both the something new and the frustration by another person, their anger (frustration) gets resolved. What's going on here? The toddler is angry because he cannot do or get something; he is fearful he will not be able to do or get something he wants. Take away his toy. What happens? He is angry because he has lost something. If he is helped to do or get what it is he wants, his anger goes away; if he cannot have whatever it is, but is coached through his feelings, receives empathy and hugs, and has his needs met, he moves on, not needing to hang onto the anger...someone has understood and helped him feel better in spite of not getting what he wants.

As adults, we have the same emotions: we get angry because we are afraid of losing something we have, or not being able to get or do something we want. For those with a history of being abused, this is very serious; you may have lost all trust in other people, all sense of self, have no self-esteem and be angry with God, if you believe there is a God. You, too, can heal. It just takes a lot of hard work.

If we agree that anger is an expression of fear, then part of the solution is to allow oneself to identify and feel it. Becoming vulnerable enough to experience the fear then allows us to look for a solution. Here's where it gets sticky. What is the fear about? Example: if it is real time and there is real danger, protect yourself. If you are angry and afraid of being thrown out of your apartment because you owe back rent, get a job. Get two jobs, sober up, stop spending money on entertainment and pay the rent. Then you don't have to be fearful and angry at losing your place.

People who are willing to look carefully at underlying fear usually find that they need to trust. Trust the process, trust the universe, maybe even trust that there is a God who is in charge and can help. Example: big business deal depending on decision by other party...you cannot control other party, are fearful of losing deal so are generally pissy with everyone, family and friends as well as your office manager. Not cool. If you have done everything you can, acknowledge your fear, then trust. Try praying, not for everything to go your way, but for acceptance; it can't hurt.

If your anger (fear) is based in old stuff, perhaps childhood neglect or abuse, abandonment or frequent frustration, the solution to your current feelings will require some sorting out. Most of this stuff is too much for anyone to do alone...your brain is not always your friend. Therapy can help, as can support groups, but you have to really use them; writing or journaling about old stuff is therapeutic. Physical activity to discharge some of the anxiety and irritability is the best medicine I know and changes brain chemistry to actually produce internal antidepressants called endorphins.

For those of you in a recovery program, you have access to tools, called steps, to deal with old stuff. Write your fourth step! For those who are not in recovery, similar "steps" provide the solution; they include reading, writing, talking with others, especially those who have been there, listening, and praying.

Get to work. It is not useful to carry around old fear and anger to make you depressed and no fun for your family and friends!

Making a Difference Through Organic Cleaning Products

Recently, with the advent of environmental awareness that is prevalent in the media through all forms, care for Mother Nature has been gaining grounds as a priority today. I couldn't remember a time in the past where environmental awareness was as active as it is today. Everywhere, you can see all sorts of movies, videos, songs and everything else that talks about being aware of what even the most trivial things humans do, can cause effects on the world that we live in.

So many measures have been suggested and even implemented that aim to make the world we live in a better place for us and for the next generations. Even presidential campaigns incorporate environmental awareness to their platforms and this, I guess, is a strong indication that everyone from whatever nook in the world they may come from should follow suit and begin to start caring for the world.

There are many good examples of doing even simple things that, when done on larger scale and by so many people, can create a great positive impact on the environment. One of these things is the use of organic cleaning products and putting into practice the principles of natural cleaning in general.

Natural cleaning refers to the use of natural cleaning products that help minimize the risk of environmental degradation. Commercial cleaning products available today reek of toxic chemicals that can cause harmful effects to the environment in the long run. That's why, with environmental awareness at its peak, natural cleaning is proving to be a great alternative to switch to.

Using organic cleaning products is the core of natural cleaning. Instead of commercial cleaning products, we should employ cleaning products made from organic materials that are just as effective as those products that contain toxic chemicals. These cleaning products are safe, efficient and are less expensive than those that are manufactured by capitalists. These products contain no harmful chemicals that might ruin the natural flow and balance of nature. They are all natural and go back to nature (like all things do) in a natural way.

Unlike commercial cleaning products which have been synthetically made and may contain chemicals that are either non-biodegradable and do not mix well with the environment, cleaning products made from natural ingredients are completely safe to even use in large doses as they can revert back to their natural form and be reused by nature.

Example of these cleaning products can usually be found in your very own home, right in the comfort of your kitchen. These products include vinegar, washing soda, baking soda, lemon juice, lime juice, lemon and lime peel, among others. These things are common and are most likely bought for other purposes. But they can serve multiple functions, which makes them very cost-efficient.

The products mentioned above are considered the basics - or the basic cleaning products that, when combine well, can be used to makes pastes, sprays and other formulas for other purposes. With these products, you don't have to buy a separate product for a different purpose. All you need to do is a little research and you can create a cleaning product of your own using tested recipes that are available online.

As you can see, these kinds of cleaning products make a very good deal. They can serve so many purposes which make you save a lot more money. They are also safe and do less damage to the balance of nature than commercial cleaning products.

Organic cleaning products are becoming the best alternatives nowadays. Read more articles online if you are still skeptical about natural cleaning products as the new way of cleaning your home in a safe and natural way.

The Five Major Pieces to the Life Puzzle

Jim Rohn has been writing and speaking on success for over 40 years. He has been called America's Foremost Business Philosopher. He does not disappoint in his little book, The Five Major Pieces to the Life Puzzle.

For those familiar with Rohn's work the themes and stories in this book will be mostly familiar. Even if you have heard Rohn speak you will benefit from reading this book.

Rohn approaches success through five factors, or pieces of the puzzle. They are Philosophy, Attitude, Activity, Results and Lifestyle.

Jim Rohn's chapter on Philosophy can be summed up in his quote: To have more we must first become more". He teaches that we make our own future. Like many other authors of note he stresses taking responsibility for our lives. He teaches that to have more we must be more. He reminds us to work on ourselves first and foremost to make ourselves more valuable in the market place and to achieve more. He then takes the reader down a road teaching how you can and should improve yourself so you can be more.

In his chapter on Attitude he stresses the importance of our attitude in all things. He teaches the value of being present, of learning from the past, and of applying those lessons to the future. He teaches how to plan for the future building on the lessons learned in Philosophy.

In Activity he tells us that no matter how well we plan and how clever we are if we do not act on our plans no progress can occur. All achievement is the product of our action. He stresses the need for sound planning and discipline.

In Results he discusses the measurement of what we do to learn how to improve on our results. He then discusses the importance of expanding our capacity and improving our results.

In Lifestyle Rohn points out that you do not need to be rich or powerful to enjoy life and live with a touch of class. He gives good examples of this and how to enjoy life without the need for conspicuous consumption.

In his conclusion Rohn discusses the importance of a sense of urgency in what we do. Our time is limited and our opportunities are numbered. He stresses that we must exploit that time and opportunity for once it passes it is lost. He also compares the level of success of those who have a sense of urgency with those who do not.

In these 121 short pages Jim Rohn teaches many of the most important principles of success and achievement. This little book is worth its weight in gold.

Can You Imagine Living a Life in Peace

Imagine There's No Heaven, It's Easy If You Try, No Hell below Us, above Us Only Sky, Imagine All the People Living for Today. Imagine There's No Countries, It Isn't Hard to Do, Nothing to Kill or Die for, and No Religion Too. Imagine All the People Living Life in Peace. Think about It.

It's hard to imagine, with the information today and even 50 years ago that most people still believe in religions all over the world, just because they were raised to believe in them. Religions of the future will have to adapt to change, a little faster as more people read articles like mine to promote education within your religion.

Opportunity Knocks

Does opportunity knock or are we receptive to the opportunities which have been there, but we did not consciously connect with them before.

Staying connected to opportunities is the practice of combining habit creation (a consistent and persistent set of actions towards a goal or desire) and the Law of Attraction (giving your attention, energy, and focus to your desire) to manifest anything you want. When you create a focus of seeing opportunities and allowing the principles of the Law of Attraction to guide your way, it makes it nearly impossible to not get exactly what you want.

Sometimes we focus our thoughts on what we dont like in our life or what we dont want; this simply creates more of the same results. If you understand how important it is to consciously choose the thoughts you hold each day; to keep your thoughts and actions focused on what you really want to attract into your life; you will. It is all up to you. For a long time people have weighed evidence, analyzed and taken measurements to answer the question, What do I want? It is now clear that this was the wrong question. The right question is, What thoughts will create what I want?" Take charge of your thoughts, and youll take charge of your life. Opportunity is present at all timesit is contained in The Law of Abundance and the Law of Attraction.

When we feel successful we are more likely to take calculated risks, which promise abundant rewardsalbeit they also carry the potential for failure. Your goals are part of your ongoing journey of self-discovery rather than an endpoint. Thus, when you feel successful you are more likely to see the possibilities versus focusing on the impossibilities.

When you are comfortable extending yourself beyond the borders of your limited comfort zones in order to explore new regions of accomplishment, the resultant endeavors may not be successful, but the open-mindedness you cultivate within yourself will ensure you stay focused on what you desire to achieve. Staying focused ensures you will take advantage of the opportunities when you recognize them. Furthermore, by staying focused you invite opportunity into your life when you recognize that the scope of your potential is limited only by your level of self-belief.

Opportunity is knocking every minuteWhat are you doing with yours?

Structuring Your 24 Hour Day

Ask Yourself Some Simple Questions About Religion

Most of us are raised from children into adulthood, to believe in someone else's religion. Most of us never even got the chance to choose a religion or spiritual beliefs to follow on our own. I came up with a simple list of five things that you should know about your religion, or you shouldn't be allowed to practice it.

1. Where did your religion or spiritual beliefs originate from? You should find out who started your religion and why they started it. Some of the worlds major religions were started by intelligent people. Do you think it's possible that your religion was created by an intelligent person, instead of a supreme being or multiple gods. Someone's just trying to trick you into believing.

2. How did you get involved in your religion or spiritual beliefs? Was it part of your upbringing, did your parents suggest this religion to you, how long has your family been involved in your current religious beliefs. Was your great, great, great, great, great grandfather or grandmother part of this religion or spiritual belief. How far back does it go in your family?

3. Do you believe in your religious doctrine or scripture? Is there any parts of your religious scriptures, writings or communication from other fellow believers that doesn't sit right with you? Does every part of your religion makes sense and can it be explained sensibly to someone outside of your religion?

4. Do you practice what you believe on a daily basis? If you're supposed to read your scriptures or pray daily, do you? If your religion teaches love and compassion, how do you treat people less fortunate than yourselves? Are you one of those people who can justify your wrong doings, to yourself and others, to give them the illusion, that you are a religious or spiritual person.

5. Do you know where you are going after you die? Are you going to someplace wonderful and extraordinary, like heaven? If you had to earn enough credits or points, do you think you have acquired enough, to enter the next level of existence? If you're bad, are you going to a bad place, with all the other bad people?

Try to always keep one thing in mind do you use, religion and responsibly.

These are just some of the answers, that I sincerely believe most people should know about their religion or beliefs. You should be able to answer at least one of these questions if asked by a nonbeliever.

Building the Foundation Towards Personal Development

To achieve any form of success, personal development should be on top of one's priority. You cannot expect growth in your business when you lack certain aspects in terms of personal growth. Hence, the sad reality that only a few among those aiming for success achieve it. Through personal development methods, you might not ensure yourself of success but you can be one step closer to it.

Create Goals As Your Stepping Stone

When it comes to self improvement, goals serve as both your driving force and endpoint. In concept, setting a goal is like building a solid foundation. Hence, it ensures that whatever you place thereafter or what steps you take are supported by that strong foundation.

It might seem obvious at first, after all it is what most self-help books would initially point out. But stressing the importance of a goal is critical to your success. When you have a goal, you are able to determine what actions to take in order to reach that. Accordingly, you will also identify whatever it is you need to avoid so as not to be stopped on your tracks.

As much as you can, set specific goals: monthly, weekly, or daily. This helps keep your focus on what needs to get done for you to become a step closer to achieving your goal.

How Do You Create A Goal?

Now that you realize the importance of setting goals, the next dilemma is to determine healthy goals. It is easy to set goals, but recognizing the important goals is the tougher part. Hence, you might find these tips helpful:

1. Think of something, whether short or long term, that you want to achieve or acquire. Hence, you can use that goal towards personal development.

2. Devise a plan that will enable you to reach that goal.

3. Within that major goal, trim them down to smaller and shorter goals that will serve as steps towards achieving that bigger goal. This assists in the personal development process because it practice discipline in meeting those smaller goals.

Pillars of Personal Development

Depending on your habits, you can determine whether your day to day activities are productive or not. Indeed, our habits control what you do and the way you think. Learn to recognize your healthy habits from those that are not. Then, you can work on improving your unsuccessful habits and turn them into a more productive activity.

When it comes to your way of thinking, developing an optimistic outlook could spell success in personal growth. You become what you think about. Also, having a positive outlook in life will enable you to examine things objectively so you recognize the areas in your personal life that need improvement.

Improving Your Self Image

If you have a healthy self image, you do not have to worry about living up to anyone's expectations. Do not stress out over convincing others but focus on what you need to do instead.

In terms of business, you can get more people to trust you or find you credible when you act like one. Then, surround yourself with people that will help you grow and aim for the same goals as you do. Work only with people that are committed to helping you succeed. When you have a healthy working relationship, you assist in the process of personal development. Also, limiting the amount of negativity within your immediate surrounding improves your own self-esteem and capacity to succeed.

Just a few steps to take and keep in mind in your quest to achieve personal development.

The 11 Forgotten Laws - Review

I am not a big fan of most online self-help courses. While most of them are inspirational, the effects of them on one's life usually last for a couple of weeks, then the old patterns, as well as the old way of thinking returns. The chosen online self-help course slowly fades into memory. However, the 11 Forgotten Laws is different. What Bob Proctor (The Secret) and Mary Morrisey have put together are universal laws that have been around since man first walked upon the Earth. You may have already heard of one or two of them, but in the day-to-day bustle of life, they have been stored away in the recesses of your memory. When you hear the definition and meaning of each law, it's a head slapping experience because the truth of them is self-evident. Let's take a look at the list.

The 11 Forgotten Laws are as follows -

- the law of thinking
- the law of supply
- the law of attraction
- the law of receiving
- the law of increase
- the law of compensation
- the law of non-resistance
- the law of forgiveness
- the law of sacrifice
- the law of obedience
- the law of success

By looking at the list, perhaps some of the truth of the Universal Laws is coming back to your consciousness. I must say that I was touched by the Law of Forgiveness. There is an old saying that goes "He who sets out for revenge should dig two graves." It's a true statement. Having anger and resentment towards anyone or anything has negative consequences that is concentrated more on the bearer of the grudge than the object of the anger. When the anger is let go, it allows one to move forward.

There are many glowing testimonials about the 11 Forgotten Laws, and if you were to read them here you would think it was just another get rich quick course. The truth is the increased income of these individuals is a consequence of living a better life. It's easier to play the game once you know what the rules (laws) are. One of the 11 Forgotten Laws is the The Law of Attraction, which means when you expect more and you have more you will get more. If you are a positive person, you will attract positive people in your life.

Sometimes in life, we need to give ourselves a checkup from the neck up. The 11 Forgotten Laws will help you do just that. It will change your way of thinking, and once you change your way of thinking to a more positive aspect, good things will happen for you.

Following Old Religious Text - Religion

Most people tend to bury their head in the sand when it comes to problems with their family, community, job, government and of course religious beliefs. They don't want to hear the truth and often they can't see the truth. I have read many religious text, books and other literature, missing some very important parts and only when I reread the information, did I find what I have missed. Sometimes I have needed to read or listen to the same information over 30 times, before it becomes somewhat clear to me.

Most religions are living in the dark ages. From what I gather, Hinduism is over 4000 years old, Judaism is around 2500 years old, Christianity is 2000 years old and Islam is about 1400 years old. People are following information today that isn't necessarily applicable to modern times but often religious leaders can twist it around, add some verbiage, make a semi-educated judgment and now we have something we can follow. It just doesn't make sense.

Why do we put so much faith in religious books like the Bible, Torah, Bhagavad-Gita and Quran, when these books cannot be proven and often have many mistakes and errors. I know people that open these books very carefully and treat them like they are made from solid gold. They are books like any others but often people live their lives from the information inside, strictly and religiously. Often never straying from their beliefs, even though they're outdated and hard to follow.

Let me get to the bottom line here, have you researched your religion and if you have, do you have any questions that can't be answered? Do you read any of the religious text and often wonder or think to yourself, this doesn't seem to make sense, because you just read something else that was contradicting the last statement.

You can handle the truth about your religion. By reading this article, it tells me that you're on the Internet, can you go to a search engine and type in Bible contradictions, Torah contradictions, or whatever your beliefs are. I was searching for errors in the Bible and came upon a couple of pretty good web sites.

Use words like contradiction, problems, errors and see what websites you come up with.

Seek the wisdom and the truth shall set you free.

Governments Through History

Being Flexible

In each of our lives, there will be times of joy and times of sorrow. In trauma, we are born. In trauma, we leave the world. Somewhere in the midst of living, growing, and understanding life in our maturity, we find ourselves seeking to find what we were born with. Innocence is precious. We really never lose it. We might for a time lose innocence, but life is too large for one perceptual being to embrace fully with the mind and the heart.

Innocence comes alive the moment we realize life is beyond our control, our ability to perceive, and our emotional capacity to feel. It is here we realize that life is beyond our control and we open our hearts and mind to something greater than ourselves. Our ego finds its proper place in our lives and we shift from being the central core of life's existence and attention to something much greater. At this point, we begin to place our life, our heart, our mind, and our soul into the very wisdom that has created us.

This movement from self-centered awareness to life-centered awareness allows us to perceive and have revealed to us information greater than what we know life to be to what can be known through us. Here, we become flexible with life, instead of, life having to go our way. This level of knowing creates a 6th sense, a super sense of awareness, an awareness in higher consciousness. We become more soul than body at this point. We become the awareness that brought us into this world. We become spiritual beings having a human experience. We become sons and daughters of the Universe.

When we remember who we are. We re - member ourselves back into the awareness at birth and at death. This awareness is with us always. We sometimes forget who we are. But, when we re - member who we are. We reconnect ourselves into the sense of knowing we grow through life and we also go through life. Through it all, our soul is in process of maturing and in process of remembering. With this in mind, our ups and our downs find consolation in our essence - in our spirit.

Achieving Your Objectives Every Time - Goal Setting 101

If you want to achieve your objectives in sports, politics, leadership, career or business then you are going to have to concentrate on the details, just as much as you do the end goal. In fact, you must break your end goal into little tiny goals that you can accomplish along the way and you must treat these little tiny goals as important as the dream or end goal.

Have you ever heard that saying; "The Devil is in the Details? Well, perhaps he really is and thus, if you do not pay attention to the details the devil will and he will destroy all your chances for success. It's not difficult to break your larger goals into smaller ones, you will find this comes quite naturally when you divide up tasks you need to accomplish when you do most anything.

The difference is that when you apply this strategy to your personal goals it will work just as easy as when you apply this technique to your educational or career goals. For instance, you cannot merely get a PhD in one step. You must take tons of classes, attend all the classes get decent grades, and then do your dissertation, which in itself must be broken down into many smaller tasks to complete such an undertaking.

The trick to achieving your Objectives Every Time is to use a strategy that works for you. I recommend that you try my Goal Setting 101Challenge. Take any goal you have big or small and break it into very tiny bite size tasks, assign each task to be completed a drop dead date, a date in which you must complete it.

Then stretch that out to the date you need to complete it by and schedule yourself out a work sheet and complete each little goal as if it were the big goal. Oh and you must reward yourself along the way for staying on target. If you do that you will accomplish your goal and have more confidence for the next important goal you set. Anything is possible.

Stammering and Stuttering Treatments That Work

In the world of stuttering treatments there is unfortunately rather a lot of trash out there. You may believe that this is a rather hard hitting statement however if you are a person who has a stutter then I am confident that you will understand what I am saying. There are, however, treatments for stammering and stuttering that do work, I will be writing about these in this article.

So which stammering and stuttering therapies do work? Well the first piece of advice that I will give is that the treatments that are offered by people who have previously had and overcome this form of speech impediment are likely to prove to be the most beneficial.

There are stuttering therapy courses on the market which are run by people who formerly had a stammer or stutter. The second piece of advice is that the courses which are on a one-to-one basis are likely to be of more benefit than those that are on a group basis. Yes there is likely to be a longer waiting time before a person can attend a one-to-one course, this is essentially because they are more popular, for obvious reasons.

Over the last few years there has been an ever increasing demand and popularity for self-help stuttering therapy products. There are now some excellent alternatives within the market place including a DVD, an e-book and an audio book.

The third and final piece of advice, well at least for this article, that I will provide, is in relation to these self-help stammering/stuttering therapy products. Before you decide to purchase you should ensure that there is a support service which you can contact if you have any questions from watching, listening and reading the material. If there is not a support service in place then it could be well worth seeking an alternative form of stammering treatment.

Bullying Awareness - How to Become Aware of & Clamp Down on Office Bullying

The 7th November marked National Ban Bullying at Work Day. As a part of this, a leading employment solicitor in the south has joined the campaign to help reduce bullying in the work place by raising awareness of this epidemic that causes companies a mind-blowing 19 Million work days every single year. Despite this there are still companies that are either unaware or ignore this problem within the work place.

Despite radical improvements over the past few years, around 40% of UK based companies have not got an explicit and effective policy on workplace bullying in-place. The head of employment law at a leading Southampton based solicitor has recently commented on that are clear policy is needed as bullying can cause a whole range of problems for any business. These can include reduced productivity and performance, poor morale, increased staff turnover and tense inter employee relations. Over 2 million people a year are bullied every day at work and the, 'come to your senses' theme of the campaign centers on reducing the fear for employees and to encourage co-workers who think that someone is being bullied to have the courage and the conviction to speak out and not to ignore the problem.

The Hampshire Solicitor has detailed some advice to anyone looking to minimize the threat of bullying in the work place: Create and implement a clear, widespread ant-bullying and harassment policy that can be read and communicated by all staff members. Ensure that this policy is zero tolerance and that any complaints made will be treated with the utmost severity and the company will investigate all cases and act accordingly. Prevent bullying from happening in the first place. Team building days and social events are always appreciated and enjoyed. This can raise staff morale, as-well-as help strengthen inter-office relationships.

Put up anti bullying posters around the office to re-enforce the message laid out by the original policy. Communication is always paramount in any company and by conducting regular meetings between management and staff, barriers can be broken down and trust increased Keep informed. Most people do not know that email bullying is one of the most common forms of bullying, therefore by taking steps to monitor and filter-out and bullying emails. If you do find yourself as a victim of bullying, it is best to remember this quote by Benjamin Disraeli. "Courage is fire, bullying is smoke."

Powerful Evidence in the Bible - Believing in Christianity

You're not going to believe the evidence that I found in the Bible on my daily search through it. This information is going to change your life forever. If you're a Christian and believe that Jesus is the son of God and part of the Trinity, keep reading this article. If you're not a Christian and do not choose to believe in Christianity, I suggest that you go find another article to read, you will not benefit from this information, if you are a nonbeliever.

There is powerful evidence in the Bible that Jesus was the son of man, he was born to Mary and Joseph but Joseph wasn't really his father, it says so in the book of Matthew in the New Testament. That's enough evidence right there to provide me with a lifelong pursuit to stay a Christian. It doesn't take much to keep a Christian be leaving in Christianity, does it.

It's a proven fact that Jesus is God, even though God created Jesus, Jesus is God. I hope I didn't confuse you with the last statement that I made but I'm trying to provide you with powerful evidence from the Bible. Unbelievable true stories that can not be confirmed but can not be denied from true believers. Even though some of the stories don't make a whole lot of sense, most Christians will continue to believe they are true. Let's stick together on this one.

If you're honestly a true believer in Jesus, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Don't let anyone tell you that you're wrong or that the Bible isn't really true. Anyone who talks to you about God in a negative way, doesn't get to go to heaven and you shouldn't waste any more of your time talking to these people. They could try to convince you that your religion is based on lies and this is the work of Satan.

There's plenty of powerful evidence in the Bible to prove for a fact that Jesus is God and only Christians get to go to heaven. If you're a Christian, live your life with a sense of relief. All you need is Jesus. Jesus will provide you with everything that you need food, clothes, education, morals, beliefs and of course faith. He will provide you with the faith to believe in God and will provide you with someone to lean on during difficult times.

I would like to ask you, as a true believer in Christianity to learn more about your religion, spent some time educating yourself on the truth. I would also suggest to learn more about other religions, just in case one of them comes up to you with some false testimony. I'm joking of course, you should be aware of other religions and their impact or similarities in Christianity.

Religion vs Spirituality

Religion is a path to God. Spirituality is also a path to God. However they have differences in approach.

The essence of religion:

Fear God and obey God.

The quintessence of spirituality:

Love God and become another God.

- Sri Chinmoy (1)

1. Past vs Present. Religion tends to take great inspiration from the past. It reveres the ancient religious texts, as the way to achieve salvation. Spirituality is not so concerned with the past. Spirituality believes in the eternal now. To attain liberation we need to live in the present. It is not the past or the future that gives us liberation. We achieve peace of mind only when we concentrate on doing the right thing here and now.

2. Fear vs Love. Quite often religion takes the approach of fearing God. Religion is a reminder to do the right thing so will not suffer in the future. The spiritual approach to God is through the path of love. Spirituality teaches us not to fear God, but approach him through the path of love.

3. Where is God. Often religion talks of God as being high in the heavens. At times God can seem far from the reach of aspiring humanity. Spirituality shows us that God is omniscient and omnipresent and can be felt as a living presence in our own heart. Furthermore not only is God reachable but we can attain the inner realisation of God.

4. Universality. Many followers of religion feel that only their path can lead to salvation. They have tremendous faith in their own religion, but at the same time they feel other religions are wrong and cannot lead a seeker to God. Spirituality feels that all religions are valid. Spirituality knows there are many paths to the same goal. Spirituality embraces all the world religions, but at the same time, is not constrained by any religious dogmas or forms.

5. Outer worship vs Inner Worship. Religion places great emphasis on outer forms and outer rituals. These are helpful for giving a sense of formality to the worship of God. But spirituality is not concerned with outer rituals. Spirituality says that what is important is a seekers inner attitude. Through practising spirituality we seek to develop an inner shrine in our own heart.

Religion and spirituality have their differences but at the same time Religion can embrace spirituality. Through following their religion great saints have attained the fruits and realisations of a mystical approach to God. This includes Christian mystics such as Teresa of Avila, St Francis of Assisi. Sufi Saints like Rumi, Hafiz and Attar. In fact each religion has produced spiritual seekers of the highest order.

Some Important Yoga Exercises

Ever considered practicing some yoga exercises? Its all too common for people who don't exercise at all to often cite the reason that they are just too busy to get to the gym. What these folks don't realize is that they are placing themselves at risk to various diseases caused by too much stress and a sedentary lifestyle.

It is pretty much an accepted fact now after much research that exercise and physical activity help the body cope with stress and improves a person's overall Health. However, the demands of our daily lives increase very rapidly as we live our lives and our responsibilities increase. Work, spouse, kids, Church, activities, family, it all takes time and it seems for most of us exercise is a low enough priority that it keeps getting pushed lower and lower.

The important thing to remember is that if you aren't living, then you don't have HEALTH! Health should be our # 1 priority because we all want to keep on living! If people are unhealthy, they are less productive and when you are less productive it gets harder and harder to achieve our goals.

Think about this for a minute, how much time do you spend at work? scary when you add up the hours, isn't it! If you are spending more than 10-12 hours at work, are skipping meals, lacking sleep, and do not exercise, there is not much doubt you are feeling stressed out. If you keep this pace up and you don't change a thing, you could develop a chronic disease that will force you to slow down and the consequences to your health could be worse than not working at all.

One of the main principles of yoga is to develop practices for each individual's conditions and place in life. Additionally, you can practice yoga in your office, in your room, maybe even in your car or at the airport waiting for a flight. For the person who claims they are just too busy at work, you could even do Yoga on your break if you really wanted to.

The great thing about yoga exercises is that there are specific postures & breathing techniques for almost all diseases, conditions, allergies, and types of pains. Many exercises are simple and can have a dramatic effect on your symptoms.

The following are some common ailments that Yoga exercises can help to minimize or harness the symptoms and root causes of. Its been proven over and over again that yoga can improve your life and get rid of the following:

Digestive Disorders:

Anger, fear, jealousy, anxiety, tension etc. are emotions that can influence the quality and quantity of secretions in the stomach and intestine, and can also alter the blood flow to the intestines. Many ailments of the digestive system can be traced back to the stress of our busy modern lifestyle.

Back Pain:

Many people experience milt to severe back pain due to stress. For many men it manifests itself as lower back pain. For most women, the pain is experienced in the neck. Most good chiropractors will be able to help you with this pain but one thing they don't tell you is that the stretching and relaxation involved with yoga can reduce symptoms and remove pain as well. If you suffer from back pain occasionally or chronically yoga will change your life.

Anxiety and Depression:

Many of us experience anxiety and/or depression at some point during our lives. left untreated, depression and anxiety can lead to serious diseases that will negatively impact the quality of our lives and those around us. We all need to be very aware of the potential for anxiety and depression and Yoga provides an outstanding treatment as well as an antidote for these negative influences on our lives.

How To Motivate Myself: Create A Successful Day, Everyday

Do you ever lie in bed and contemplate your upcoming workday? You think, "I'm going to call that new customer after I have my first cup of coffee." Then you decide the call can wait, and you hit the snooze button a few more times.

We all want to be more productive and achieve success. But at times, we find it difficult to motivate ourselves to take action--especially first thing in the morning. Some people view motivation as something of a conundrum--they don't understand how people can always be energized. Getting started has less to do with whether you have the energy and more to do with your desire and willingness to accomplish any given task. As an entrepreneur, you are passionate about your business. Once you dig in, start a project and see the results of your labor, you become even more galvanized. Stop delaying your success, and begin your day with enthusiasm by taking action.

1. START YOUR DAY THE NIGHT BEFORE. At the close of your business day, congratulate yourself on what you have accomplished. Do not judge the size of your accomplishments; appreciate that you have moved your business forward. Feeling good about what you completed during your workday sets a positive foundation for your next day. Say to yourself, "I love my business and will create even greater success tomorrow."

2. CREATE AN OUTCOME-ORIENTED TASK LIST FOR THE NEXT DAY. Goals provide focus for your workday and clarify what you are going to achieve. State the payoff associated with completing each task--recognizing the outcome of your hard work increases your motivation. After defining your goals, choose which task to work on first. E-mail your list to yourself, or put it on your desk. Then relax because you have now created a great head start on your next business day.

3. TAKE TIME TO INVEST IN YOURSELF before the start of your business day. As an entrepreneur, you are your business's greatest asset. You must take care of yourself. Choose a morning activity you enjoy so you can appreciate the beginning of each day. Whether it's a morning walk around your neighborhood, a quick breathing exercise or an intense physical workout, decide on something that helps you transition into your workday. Change your morning activity on a weekly basis to avoid getting bored with the same routine.

4. VISUALIZE YOUR ACHIEVEMENT. Review your action list and concentrate on the outcomes you stated. Imagine the success you will achieve with each completed task. For example, envision your customers becoming happier and/or healthier after using your product or service. It may even spark some marketing ideas. Setting your brain on positive mode allows you to stay enthusiastic throughout the day.No single day makes or breaks your business. Plateaus are a natural part of life and of growing a business. If a bad day occurs, don't despair. Become energized by your freedom to be your own boss and your ability to make changes. Your goal is to continually learn and realize that having your own business is more play than work.

A fantastic way to get started that personally helped me a lot is get some GREAT motivational posters.

You can choose between many different sizes and prices. They have a ton.

Music Teachers Resources and Tips - The Power of Motivation

There are many reasons, issues and circumstances that can be associated with missed music lessons and classes. Though these incidents have been saddening and frustrating to most dedicated music teachers, such really inevitably happen. There is only one key to resolve this conflict: the Power of MOTIVATION.

Consequently, various music teachers' resources and tips, which are designed and intended to motivate students attend their music lessons and classes regularly, have been made readily available online. There are some reliable and objective websites that can certainly provide music teachers some great resources to modify and develop their music teaching strategies.

Since you have gotten into this page, your willingness and urge to adopt music teaching resources and tips seem to be intense and obvious. Well, you are on the right track; this article tends to give you some helpful tips and resources in teaching music more effectively and efficiently.

Motivate Young Minds

Motivation is the key issue to gauge how exactly students learn. A music teacher may be puzzled or even worried when it seems to him that his students lack self-motivation. With that thinking, he must know the motivational needs of his students.

Motivation may come from the teacher himself or from the learning environment. What matters here is the students would be encouraged to attend classes with much determination and perseverance.

In a classroom setting, learners can be motivated by their own music preference, interest, background, experience, skills and abilities. Also, music teaching efforts and strategies should always adhere to the personal motivational needs and qualities of the students. With these methods, you could see their willingness and eagerness to learn and eventually love music more.

Inspire Your Students

Some would agree that motivation in a classroom setting is quite synonymous to inspiration. Meaning, one's motivating factors are the same as his sources of inspiration. Basically, he tries his best to achieve his objectives not just because he is determined to do so but because he is indeed motivated and inspired to succeed.

Inspiring students is never easy. You need to come up with a variety of new strategies that can make them really interested and hooked with your daily activities and sessions. With you and your music teaching resources or techniques, they would surely look forward to seeing you next meeting.

It is true that teaching as a whole is a noble profession. In fact, it is more than just a vocation or a career: it is more on commitment and fulfillment. A teacher feels his worth and success when he sees his students succeed in time. Indeed, teaching young minds is a rewarding experience.

Creating A Habit

Increasing Your Self-Acceptance

Your level of self-acceptance, or how much you like yourself and consider yourself to be a valuable and worthwhile person is one of the most important measures of who you are and indicators of everything that happens to you. How much you like and accept yourself lies at the core of your personality.

Your level of self-acceptance determines your level of energy and the quality of your personality. How much you like yourself determines how much you like other people and in turn how much they like you. Your level of self-acceptance determines your self-confidence, courage, and willingness to try new things. It determines the quality of your relationships with others, your family, friends, and coworkers. Your level of self-acceptance determines how successful you are in business.

Since your level of self-acceptance is so important to virtually every part of you life, it is a tragedy that so many people suffer from low levels of self-acceptance. There are literally millions of people that suffer from self-doubt, self-criticism, and self-rejection. This affects the way you do your job, the success of your relationships, and it drains your enthusiasm for the good things in life.

How much you like and accept yourself is determined largely by how well you feel you are accepted by the important people in your life. Since your outer world tends to be a reflection of your inner life, your attitude toward yourself is determined largely by the attitudes that you think people have toward you.

When you feel that other people think highly of you, your level of self-acceptance and self-esteem goes up. However, if you feel for any reason, rightly or wrongly, that other people think poorly of you, your level of self-acceptance goes down.

But before you begin enjoying the wonderful effects of high self-acceptance in your life, you have to learn to accept yourself unconditionally. One of the best places to start is to do an inventory on yourself. When you do this inventory it is important that you accentuate the positive and minimize the negative.

Think back through your life and review your accomplishments. Think about all the things that you have achieved over the course of your lifetime. Make a written list of them. Think of the subjects you passed and the grades you received. Think of the awards and prizes you have won. Think of the people who you have helped and the kind of things that you have done for others. Think of the goals that you have set and achieved. Look at the material parts of your life; think about all the things that you have managed to acquire as the result of hard work and disciplined effort.

After you have listed all of your accomplishments, make a list of all your unique talents and abilities. Think of your core skills, the things that you do exceptionally well that account for your success at work and in your personal life right now.

Once you have listed your unique talents and abilities start to think of the skills that you have developed and the results that you can achieve by applying yourself to the challenges of your world today. Think of your earning ability and your ability to get results. Think of your ability to make a contribution to your family, your company, and to the world around you.

Once you have completed your list of all the things you can do and accomplish with your unique skills and talents, then list all the future possibilities for yourself. Start by setting short, medium, and long range goals and make plans to move step-by-step, progressively toward their realization.

There are a variety of things you can do, every single day, to improve you level of self-acceptance such as picking a role model, someone you admire and look up to and want to be like. Many business people and entrepreneurs have risen to the top of their field by selecting role models who had already achieved the level of success they themselves wanted to achieve. Everything you do that you feel is consistent with what someone you admire would do increases your level of self-acceptance.

Developing good work habits will raise your level of self-acceptance. You need to always work efficiently and effectively toward the accomplishment of high-value results. The most respected people in any organization are those who can get the job done. How effective you feel your ability is to do what is expected of you, has a tremendous effect on how much you accept yourself as a good and valuable person.

Your image has an important impact on your level of self-acceptance. You should always be aware of the way you appear to other people. Studies show that 95 percent of the initial impression that you make on someone is made by you physical appearance. If you want to be respected and admired by others, you need to act like a person who is worthy of respect. When you know that you look good on the outside, your level of self-acceptance goes up.

Everything you do or say to another person rebounds and causes the same effect on you. Whenever you are warm, friendly, and courteous to another person, you improve your own level of self-respect and self-acceptance. Whenever you do something nice for another person, you tend to feel better about yourself. Whenever you do or say anything that causes another person to like himself or herself more, you find yourself liking yourself more as well.

One of the greatest riches of life is having a high level of self-acceptance that leads to maximum performance in everything you do. By doing something every day to raise your level of self-acceptance, you will confidently move forward toward the realization of your full potential.

At Least Two Voices

Everything and everybody has both a good and a bad side. This is without exception. Nothing is ever all good or all bad . . . Ever!

No matter how bad a situation may seem at first, if you stop for a moment and take a closer look, you will be able to find some good in the situation.

This is an important fact that can greatly impact your life. This fact lets you know for certain that you indeed have a choice to make in every situation.

One day I was exiting a parking lot and at the same time another driver was entering. We almost had a head on collision. Thank GOD we both stopped in time.

It was pretty obvious that we were both shaken by the near-accident.

The lady in the other car started yelling some obscenities at me and automatically a voice came in my head shouting loudly at me to defend myself. "Who does she think she is? She's the one in the wrong here! Don't let her curse at you like that!"

I was about to let her have it when I thought, "Stop! What is the good in this situation?"

A second voice, a lot softer and gentler, reminded me that we had just avoided an accident. "Thank GOD you were both able to stop in time."

I looked at the hysterical lady and said very gently, "I'm so glad we both were able to stop in time. We successfully avoided what could have been a horrible accident."

She paused for a moment, looked at me and smiled. "You're right." She replied, and we both happily went on our way.

Remember that there will always be two voices giving you advice from which you can choose. One voice is of the negative aspects of a situation and this voice is usually the loudest and the quickest. The second voice is the voice that states the positives of a situation and is usually quieter and softer.

Before choosing to immediately react to the first negative voice, choose to wait for the second positive voice. Choose to listen to the positives because it really is your choice to make.

Choose to energize your mind, body and soul with the positives!

YOUR LIFE really can be as beautiful and as bountiful as YOU create it to be! Self Empowerment is the Key!

Religious Views Based From Fear

I was told by an advertising executive one day that all of your advertisements need to deliver some sort of hope for the people you're trying to persuade into buying your products. Funny, if you think about it, I got some and great advice about life from someone in the advertisement business.

Most people are looking for hope, in everything they do. Most of our daily activities revolve around hope and this gives our lives some sort of direction. If you believe in an almighty being and creator of the universe, often you will try to please him, ....or her, ....or it, in hopes of entering the kingdom of heaven or the promised land after you die.

Often our fears will increase our levels of hoping, the fear of doing something against your religion can often inspire you to become a more spiritual person, a good and moral person. Fear of making the wrong choices will inspire us to make better, moral choices, all for the sake of acquiring a ticket to Heaven or Nirvana. You're hoping, your good deeds on earth will earn you a place in heaven.

Most people are afraid of dying and leaving this world, for good. They don't know where they're going and that seems to scare most people. If we can offer someone a little hope, that they are going to a much better place than here, we can often ease the pain and suffering associated with death. I have to admit, most religions of the world promise another world, after we're done with this one.

If you're living a honest and moral life with the hopes of living a bountiful life in heaven, could you be wrong. What if you're seeking Hope in the wrong religion? If you're a Christian and the Hindus are right and you're wrong, do you get to enter there eternal kingdom.

Think about this question, I'm about to ask you. What if spend your whole life studying your religion and it's wrong? There is no heaven and when you die, that's the end of your existence

Have you ever wondered why you believe in your religion and someone in another country or even a couple of miles away believes in something entirely different.

Don't get mad at me or yourself, simply think about the question for a while, this question has transformed my life and put me on a wonderful spiritual path of learning.

Daily Meditation For an Inward Exploration

Living has become a constantly hurrying and harrying endeavor, and one has no choice but to simply keep up. Indeed there is no other way than to cope with the stresses of life. And there are many ways of coping- good and bad. There are those who would resort to smoking and drinking, or even drugs. Others would exercise, have an active social life or engage in activities to unwind. Then there is yet the spiritual path to cope with stress- yoga and daily meditation and the like. Many people regard meditation as something so complex and what spiritual adepts only do.

But in fact, it doesn't have to be so. Take the case of the daily meditation practice. This can be done while one is simply walking! Yes, it is definitely possible. When one is in their state of sensitivity and awareness while walking, they can meditate as well. Thus, they are meditating. Quite as simple as that. For beginners, they are faced with the dilemma of choices when it comes to this spiritual practice. They might well ask if they should do daily meditation. Or what technique they would use and where they would practice it. A special room maybe, or in which conducive setting.

For beginners though, what would be more helpful is guided meditation. There are tools which can help them in their spiritual journey, like CD's and music. Beginners need aid for the mean time as they embark on the quest of keeping in touch with the self. Yes, that's what daily meditation can do. It's little by little taking steps to connect with the divine. And what is divine may not be so much on the outside, but within oneself. It just takes time, effort, will and the desire to discover what is sacred. The spirit is the human being's essence.

When the spirit fortified, it can be unbroken. This essence could be a resolute force to weather the storms of life. And how can the spirit become strong? Through constant practice and nourishment, in the same way as the physical body. How is the spirit harnessed and nourished? Through reflection, meditation, reaching out to others, doing good deeds and self-realization. These would help for one's spiritual growth. Meditating is more like an exploration or an experimentation. One searches deeper and looks for answers. And these answers, they would lead to enlightenment. And enlightenment, this could pave the way for bliss.

This could be achieved when one is patient, when they take time to nourish the spirit by meditating daily. It is a colorful, sacred world- the world of the inner self. And it could be explored and discovered when one regularly meditates. In its most simple sense, a spiritual practice is all about keeping the self strong. And this is what everybody needs as the stresses of life can be so compelling. They can drive one to despair and out of their wits. One must always have a strong defense. This is often not in the physical sense, but for those aspects of the self which are unseen.

Presence of the Power of Love

What it feels like and how it expands the mind to have Presence come around you when you are working.

Over the last few days, I have been getting my book ready for the printer. What I have noticed while working on it is the Presence that comes in the room.

By Presence I mean the increase in the electromagnetic field that surrounds my body. I feel this is my Spirit Guides and Helpers coming around me and helping me get my book out in physical form.

The book is called "Journey into the Self The multi-dimensional nature of being human". It will be available on Amazon in about a month.

The book is part autobiography, about my Spiritual Journey, and partly my articles, where I describe my experiences, feelings and emotions when looking into my Self over the last 32 years of focusing on personal spiritual realization.

The power in the room over the last few days has been mind blowing. I have felt tremendous head pressure as the energy levels increased.

This is not pressure of work; this is pressure just from the sheer energy coming around me and building up the electromagnetic field to such an extent that I wonder sometimes if my physical body can stand the power without blowing a fuse.

The same thing happens when I practise Hands-on Healing. Recently I visited some friends in South Wales and while I was there, we had a group meeting of eight people.

After the meeting one of the people asked me to give them healing. Everyone watched me give the healing, contributing their own loving energies to the process.

The room became very quiet and I went into an altered state of consciousness where I felt my spirit helpers, guides and psychic surgeons come around me.

After the healing all the people were commenting that they could feel the hairs on their legs standing on end as I moved past them to change position. It is this increase in power and electromagnetic field I am talking about here.

People ask me if giving healing is draining. My experience is the exact opposite: I find it charges me up, and it could take one or two days afterwards for my energies to settle down again, even though I ground myself after healing.

It is as though when you connect your energy to the other person you feel their energy and yours become one.

I feel the healing takes place over the few days that follow: as I rebalance my energy, I am also helping to rebalance the other person's and, at the same time, there is a greater balance in the whole universe which we are all a part of.

I know that as we move forward into the New Consciousness each of you will feel this same Presence coming into your life.

The whole Field of Consciousness of Planet Earth is waking up: collectively we are realising that we are all One, joined to the same energy and experiencing this Unity of Consciousness, yet honouring the features that make each of us unique.

The Separation of Church and State

There seems to be another movement arising concerning the separation of church and state. We have a high level government official visiting Sarasota in the next few weeks to enlighten us. I remember this movement surfacing 8 years ago. We had just moved to Sarasota and it was about a week after the 2000 elections. My wife and I decided to go, thinking it would be a good way to meet people in our neighborhood and get politically involved in a nonpartisan issue at the same time.

As the meeting got under way, a crowd of about 50 people had gathered. I thought the speaker did a great job of presenting the case for separation of church and state. Our founding fathers certainly didn't want a state church, and obviously most people today don't want it for all the same reasons the founders wrote about during the founding of our country.

As I stated earlier, this was right after the 2000 election and the"open minded" hate Bush crowd was just gaining momentum. It became real obvious from the start that this meeting was more about hating Bush than about the separation of church and state. To them it was not a bipartisan issue. It was clear from the start , that as a conservative,I couldn't possibly agree with them, I didn't really have a right to an opinion, and I sure didn't have a right to express it. I agreed with them on most issues, but to this day they will never know that because of their hatred.

Anyway that is in the past. It is what it is. The more important issue is what the separation of church and state means. Basically it means that we will have no state sponsored church, such as the Church of England, or that our government won't be run by a religious fanatic as happens in some countries. This is all well and good, and is what it should be.

We, in America have freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion. We are free to practice whatever spiritual beliefs we may have. As we grow and change our beliefs may change and we are free to pursue those beliefs and discover how they fit into what we already believe. It is every one's right to practice their spiritual beliefs or lack of them, as long as they don't infringe on some one else beliefs. I was taught that if some one's beliefs are different than mine, to sit quietly and respect their beliefs, thereby giving them the same respect and courtesy I would expect.

Because of political correctness many of our common sense principles have gone out the window. It is now OK to shout four letter obscenities in school but our children aren't allowed to utter the word GOD. Prayer isn't allowed in school , but it is OK for teachers in Washington State to have sex with their students provided the student is over 18, if the student is a minor they have to bring a note from their parents.(just kidding.) It is permissible and acceptable for a minister to shout G-D America from the pulpit.

The list goes on and on, I agree there should be a separation of church and state, however that doesn't mean that a generic prayer can't be given in a public setting, that doesn't mean that a government official can't express a belief in God. Our founding fathers all had a belief in a higher power and God help us if our elected officials ever become non-believers. They need all the help they can get to solve the problems of the day.

In today's world, we have enough separation of church and state, what we really need is to abolish separation of God and state.

Another of the Wonderful Spiritual Tools - Nature Signs

Of all the Spiritual Tools at our disposal, learning to look for Nature Signs is perhaps the most fun. And, at least for me, it is always an adventure.

It is 2003 and the beginning of my 2 years at the School for Spiritual Healing and Prophecy. I was "called" to the school. I couldn't imagine not being there. And yet I also couldn't imagine that I would ever be able to work with the energy as my teachers did every day.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed I set out on a Nature Signs walk. I left the hotel, centered, and spoke my request to "whatever" was listening. What was I doing here? For what purpose have I entered this school and what did I need to know to succeed?

Remembering that God was everywhere I began walking forward slowly. Getting quiet and staying aware I allowed my feet to guide me. As I walked I relaxed and allowed the peace of LilyDale to surround me and soothe me.

Without conscious awareness I found myself approaching a large stump to the right of the Healing temple. With a bit more urgency I climbed the small hill so I could view the top of the stump. Somehow I knew what I was about to witness would significantly affect my life.

A withered plant with several intertwining branches grew out of the top of the stump. On these branches I noticed two, no three ladybugs moving around. The ladybugs were easy to tell apart, each having their own number of spots.

No Spot was having a lot of difficulty maneuvering through the branches. She just could not get the hang of climbing over the intersecting limbs. For several minutes I watched as she continually approached a barrier and then backed up to find another way around.

I was not the only one who noticed her difficulties. Two Spot also noticed and made his way towards No Spot. Coming from the other direction he approached the barrier that kept No Spot from advancing and deftly made his way to the top and down the other side.

No Spot was ecstatic and as soon as Two Spot got out of her way she approached the same barrier again, with confidence, and climbed to the top and down the other side. Giddy now she turned around and did it again, and again and again. She couldn't get enough.

That is until she spotted Many Spot. Many Spot was on the other side of the stump. Many Spot was not only climbing up and over barriers she was climbing up a branch that was going, well, up. No Spot had never done anything like that before but she decided to try. After all, if Many Spot could reach for the sky so could she. No Spot made her way slowly toward Many Spot watching as the colorful Ladybug made her way up and then down a branch. Many Spot continually repeated this exercise, almost as if she knew she was being watched. It was as if she very much wanted No Spot to learn.

No Spot approached the branch and began to climb. Higher and higher she climbed and I swear to this day I could feel her pride in my own heart as she quickly mastered this new skill. And then, as No Spot approached the top of the branch she turned slightly, spread her wings, let go, and glided slowly back down to the stump surface.

My friend No Spot did not just learn from her teachers that day, she surpassed them. No one told her she could fly yet somehow she just knew. In a period of about thirty minutes she went from a timid novice who could not get over a small barrier to a master, reaching for the heavens and then risking everything for the thrill of the flight. Risking and succeeding.

Thanking my friends I turned away and began the walk back to my classmates and my teachers. With tears in my eyes I knew I had been given a phenomenal gift and my gratitude was immense. I also knew that it was a gift not just for me but for everyone. Everyone willing to stay open, everyone who wanted to learn.

We are to watch our teachers, watch them carefully. We are to practice what they show us, practice until it becomes ours. And then we are meant to push the boundaries and move past our teachers. Each one of us, in our own way, is meant to fly.

To take your own Day Sign walk step outside, breath and say a prayer thanking the Universe for the messages you are about to receive. Ask your question, state your problem, and then let it go. Begin your walk in whichever direction your feet want to go. Pay attention to the wind, the animals you meet, the foliage that catches your eye. Do not ignore the people you might meet on your walk for they too may provide you with the information you are seeking. Do not judge your thoughts, simply watch them and allow them to go wherever they wish. Trust that all the answers to all the questions are available and will be provided as you learn to open to receive. End your walk when you sense it is time for it to end. Do not expect the messages you receive to be as clear as the one I received that day in 2003. They are often much more subtle, sometimes not fully forming for hours or perhaps even days. Trust that the information will be made available in its own way and in its own time.
